Waffen SS impression on a budget - BELT

The very first piece of field equipment that you are going to need is a leather belt and Waffen SS belt buckle.

The belt or “Koppel” is the first building block of a German soldier's web equipment, followed by the “Koppelschloss” or belt buckle.

The other choice is to shop around on e-bay where you'll probably get them a little cheaper from Zeltplane-Shop. This is a German based e-bay shop and you can usually pick up a nice leather belt for around 10 euros which is about £7, you won't get stung for import tax and it's slightly less expensive than buying from a UK dealer. A decent buckle will set you back around £14, see illustration of the SS enlisted man's buckle (right) it has the inscription “Meine Ehre Heisst Treue”.
