May 21st 1944
After months of stalemate, patrolling and artillery exchanges Clarke is ready to make his move. But before this can happen, the solid staging area of the old city plant, North of Anzio needs to be cleared of the dug in German 362 infantry Division and the supporting units of Parachute and SS regiments. This once thriving factory complex has good firing positions for rocket and artillery batteries as well as large warehouses that still stand. Clarke has 150,000 men desperate to move of the beach head and needs this position taken so his guns can be ready for May 23rd, ‘The Breakout’
This battle represent only a small part of the operation to take good staging areas around Anzio City, there will be 7 CPs around the battlefield as well as key objectives to complete for both sides. The Allies will have a static HQ and a mobile CP (which can be destroyed) which if destroyed, must return to the HQ for regen. The Axis forces will have multiple HQs at the 4 southern Bridges.
Vehicles will feature quite heavily in the event as the site is so large but a 5mph limit will be enforced.
