I think it would be good to get a small squad of German players at last stand.

Keeping with the 1944 look keeping with wools and as little camo as possible to stay ture to Heer and stand out from the SS group.

Hopefull we will be able to with stand the mass of brit paras :D

Cheers , Niall

Completely agree. Looks awesome, if we can all get in same gear. Marching boots or low boots?

Hi Fellas,
I'll be wearing my M36 tunic, with jack boots. Don't have any low boots, but will probably bring my British high legs too. Think I can get away with these if need be...
Will bring my Tan und Wasser parker, but only for the evenings, if it gets cold after sun down...

If you only have Jackboots it will be fine. If you have both low boots would be prefed as jackboots weren't as common during the later years of the war. Btw the camo on the parka is called sumpftarn (tan and water is the horrible american name  )

Ah, thanks for the info on the sumpftarn. I knew there was German name for it, just couldn't remember. I also always just assumed the 'Tan and wasser' as a convoluted translation of dirt and water, (knowing that wasser translates as water) as i have also heard it referred to as 'marsh' pattern and this always seemed to make sense to me.... just shows you how bad my German grammar is.... My Dad speaks it pretty good though....

As for the boots, sadly the Jack boots are all I have in the way of authentic looking... I been getting away with the high legs for a while, to the untrained eye, who's to know. Jackboots are a recent purchase, still need a bit of breaking in really...

I'll be in wools, as long as everyone keeps taking on water when you'll be fine (+ it'll be shaded).

Besides, the real guys didnt really have the chance to slip into cooler clothes if they got a little warm!
