Well as there seems to be a fair few new members interested in this event, they have been asking if there is any spare kit they can borrow to help on the day.

So if there is something you need or something you can lend out for the day please post your questions here what ever it is guns or clothing. :idea:

Try and get in touch with josh at gunman, he has the loads of hire kit that he might loan out. If he does will try and get the british boys to run out for the motherland and boost the numbers.

For Loan on a Bend it and mend it basis (possibly reserved already by actung nate ,but ill check asap)

1 x MP40 AEG, 2 x ammo pouches, and 2 magazines (you will need to bring a couple of MINI 8.4 type batterys and a pistol speedloader though)

also i can loan out a set of heer feldgrau uniform and helmet. but ive no boots to go with this. size 42 chest jacket and 36 to 38 waist on throusers (but theve got braces anyway)

Loads of Hungarian helmets for Â£5.99 each in Ormskirk here

If anyone fancies being Russian Tank crew that could also be an option a black boiler suit could work great in dark tunnels and tank crew helmets are Â£25.

OK guys I have to take my jeep for it's MOT tomorrow so while I am out I plan to pop down and buy some of those helmets so let me know on here if you want one by lunch tomorrow. :good:

just got back I only got 3 of them as requested.

There is some good and bad news they have a load of these helmets still but the price is now Â£8,99 I got the last 2 cheap ones for Â£4.95 each and the chin strap is missing so needs some mods to use them well.

They are still cheap at Â£8.99 each for a steel helmet so can go back there at some point as it is only a 20min drive for me, I also work out that way in my van now and then.

I did buy one of the Â£8.99 ones and I suspect it may even be the one in the photo above as it is mat paint unlike the satin finish of the others so this one has Comrade Portovskys name on it :giggle:

I will say they are not as comfy a fit as the proper standard Russian one I have but do look the same in terms of the metal other than the number and position of the rivets, but I am not a rivet counter

What ever mate, may see you at some point before the game as I said 2 of the helmets may need a strap mod to make them nice and usable.

On June 4/5th I may be at Gulivers World Warrington as they are doing a small re-enactment weekend so will be down there if the weather is good, but I also plan on going to Tatton Park Classic car show same weekend for 1 day. So if you want to take the kids out sort it out with me and I will see you there.

Josh (Gunman) has graciously agreed to lend out some of his Russian kit to us for the day.
So if you need some please state this now here on this thread.

Remember if you rip the stuff it belongs to Josh so I would think a policy of "YOU RIP IT YOU BUY IT" would be on the cards.

First on the list are.

S.Hemmings and C.Johnson.

Also bigkie has offered to collect the stuff from Josh for us so a big thank you to both of you. :good:

that looks quite intresting, but im guessing Russian tank crew wouldnt get to drive a tank , where can the helmets be bought from?

It says out of stock but I am sure they have some in the shop near me.

I do have an option to use the tank by the Russians as was a thought when I posted the previous posting as I have a red star and russian penant flag for the antenna.
However the main idea now is for the US to use it.

Also who was it that wanted the Steel helmet from there as I have forgot :slap:
