Looking forward to March 2023... 🇬🇧
If we get what we want... It will be an urban battle of wills. Maximum bolt action rifles and grenades bringing that brutal close quarters fighting to life.

"Prepare for rapid fire!"

Here is a brilliant photo of Brandon in his 1st Airborne Recce Squadron kit, and its looks absolutley brilliant! (Who doesnt want to do British Airborne after seeing this?)

If YOU put as much blood, sweat, tears, time and effort in your kit, you will end up on the Frontline posters!

Well done Brandon! And thank you!

If there is anything we LOVE at Frontline Events, its editing photos and footage!

This will be the last event for a 6 month period. Between Mid-Late March 2023 and September 2023.

A big deployment has come up and takes priority unfortunately.

Many have asked for a breakdown of the loadouts being used for our events. This one specifically for the build up to March 2023.

Here is the British Airborne impression. This would have likely been seen at Arnhem during Operation Market Garden. This is just a basic loadout for you to see what you may need for an Arnhem themed event.

It is not 100% accurate as we need to keep it practical for airsoft.

Head;
- British Para Helmet (100% recommended for an urban battle)
---------------(addons)---------------
- Helmet Net & Scrim
- Maroon Beret and Kings Cron Para Cap Badge (Inside smock)

Torso;
- British Airborn Scrim Scarf
- British Denison Smock (Type II Half Zip)
- British Pattern 37 webbing (Blancoed (or blanco'd)

Weapon;
- Ares No4 Lee Enfield

Legs;
- British Pattern 40 "Trousers Parachutists"
- British Pattern 37 Gaiters
---------------(addons)---------------
- DMS Boots (We recommend comfortable footwear).

Come and join us at the in the Frontline Events - WW2 Community and start preparing for our first Arnhem game.

The Ares No4 can be purchased from the Frontline Events website.

Huge thankyou to Bill Godfrey for the photo!

Dates confirmed. Location changed due to parking and Health and Safety concerns!

Airsoft Event

Date:
3,4,5th March 2023

Story:
Operation Market Garden was an Allied military operation during the Second World War in the Netherlands from 17 to 27 September 1944. Its objective was to create a 64 mi (103 km) salient into German territory with a bridgehead over the river Rhine, creating an Allied invasion route into Germany. This was to be achieved by two sub-operations: Seizing nine bridges with combined U.S. and British airborne forces (Market) followed by land forces swiftly following over the bridges (Garden).

And epic battle has been raging over 3 days. 740 troops have held Arnhem, for twice as long as expected, against far heavier opposition than anticipated. The UK’s 1st Airborne Brigade is locked in a deadly urban battle with the 9th “Hohenstaufen” & 10th Frundsberg” Divisions around Arnhem. The Train Station at Wolfheze is where the German forces are attempting to break through on the road to Arnhem to fix and destroy British paratroopers.

Objectives:
• HOLD – 156st and 10th Airborne Brigades must hold the Train Station at Wolfheze and stop the Germans flanking the remaining British units in Oosterbeek.
• BREAKTHROUGH – 9th SS Division is to break through the British lines in order to link up with the 10th SS Division and encircle remaining troops within Arnhem.

And now we start the build up to Arnhem Knights! Potentially the best one yet!

The British Airborne game some of you have been waiting 3 years for!

Here is the "Int" for the British commanders! Can the Germans capture it?

German Orders have been sent via dispatch rider from ϟϟ-Oberfuhrer Walter Harzer to ϟϟ-Haupsturmfuhrer Mosele on the front line.

Looking into real commanders on the ground. General Urquhart and Lieutenant-Colonel Walther Harzer.

𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗨𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁;
Taking command of the Division on 7 January 1944, Urquhart had an uphill struggle to win the respect of his men, which he found quite unnerving as there was always a sense that his every movement was being monitored.
Sergeant Roy Hatch, a Glider Pilot, described the six foot, two hundred pound Scot as "a bloody general who didn't mind doing the job of a Sergeant." This was proved during the battle when he helped a signalman drag a heavy spare radio battery out of a storage trench and to the command trench. Not realizing that his helper was an officer, the man asked Urquhart to help him bring another, which he did without hesitation. It wasn't until they had finished their task that the signalman realized that his assistant was no less a man than the General. He offered his thanks, to which Urquhart modestly replied "That's all right, son". His unassuming and confident attitude won the respect of any doubters.

𝗪𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘇𝗲𝗿;
Although only a 32 year old Lieutenant-Colonel, Walther Harzer was the temporary commander of the 9 S.S. Panzer Division 'Hohenstaufen'.
As English and American air-landing and parachute forces conducted their surprise landing in the Arnhem area, Obersturmbannführer Harzer received the order to take the handful of still available combat elements of the 9. SS-Pz.Div. and with these attack the enemy and destroy him. As his own Kampfgruppe was not sufficient for the carrying out of this mission, Harzer rallied all available soldiers in the Arnhem area from every branch of service. With these, as well as the reinforcing units from the Heer, Kriegsmarine, Luftwaffe and Waffen-SS, he created additional Kampfgruppen and led them immediately against the enemy airborne troops and Dutch terrorists that were already in control of a bridge quarter. Through his especially prudent and clever tactical leadership, he succeeded in engaging the enemy in difficult and ever-changing combat. In doing so he eventually brought the vital Arnhem bridge back into our hands in an undamaged state.
