Hi I think there's a great possibility that I'll be attending this event as a commando but
1. I don't have a weapon.
2. What's the age limit.

Can anyone help me out here.
Thanks :good:

Money sent, put me down as British please. What is the different between 'commando' and 'engineer'? - if the latter is just a commando with lots of explody things, put me down as engineer please.... I do have some RE shoulder titles though.

Cheers

As an engineer, you will be armed with a pistol only for self defense, and a bag full of demo charges! you will need to rely on your fellow Commando's in the protection teams to keep the germans at bay whilst you complete your tasks!

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

That sounds a bit scary! Go on then, I'll give it a go, I was looking forward to an excuse to get my Bergen out again.

Any chance I could use my Lee Enfield? I think it is even crappier than most of my pistols....

Cheers

After talks with one of the organisers, I'm planning of going as commando engineer too - I'm going to attempt it with either no weapon, or a springer 1911 pistol if things get too close for comfort!

As I also indicated engineer (WE 1911) we'd better hope some people with proper guns sign up or we may have a little trouble reaching our objectives!

I have a springer 1911 too. Are we all up for a pistol charge? We can pretend to be Sidney Jary :)

Despite the temptation to get a U boat uniform Ive decided that if Im going to splash out more money it should be for something I can use again. Also been planning to do Brit for a while, so please put me down for British Commando :good: Payment enroute
