IS there any hint of giddyness at this time?
I have my kit in good order and also my box of loaner kit. My provisions are being assembled and Tomorrow will see me undergo the trad Haarschnitt. Onkel Stig is appointed driver (immediately upon his return from Nippon) and so we must ply him with Lucozade and tasty niblets. I think I can safely claim a 7.5 which will be an 8 by tomorrow.
Anyone else?

I'm pretty much organised for me and my lad. However, the fact that I have no voice at the moment (been struggling since January, and seeing a specialist next week) is taking the shine off everything at the moment. I can't even call for a Sani when I'm hit, let alone enjoy some social banter with anybody.
I'm sure once I get my Feldgrau on, I'll perk up a bit.

Its been a slow burner as we've had this one planned for some time but its a bit strange now its almost upon us!
Yep stressed now but excited.

All I need to do is pack! Got my Green Gas finally. (with some spare if anyone needs some!) Just need to cram everything in. The thing that usually gives me problem is me metal lid...
Dampened by the realisation that our windows are being re-done on the Monday, so we have things to shift now/Sunday, but a steady high up here.
I like to assess the Giddiness Quotient.

At the risk of staing the obvious, i find if i pack the inside of the lid with soft kit then it doesnt take up much more room in a pack...

Yeah thats the plan really. Its not as bad as my other events where I have to cram two large uniforms into the same bag
But as for the topic at hand. I'm pretty damn excited.
Mind you, in the unlikely event that my new Stahlhelm arrives in time, that'll take me to an 8.

This is 2010 ffs. According to my 2000AD comics we should have teleport machines by now
Sure there is no way you can get a lift with some one?

having spent a lot of time writing up all of our amazing ideas for this game, I'm simmering and a very respectable 10
After having to sit through an amazingly brain numbing course on how to spot a terrorist I am now free to load my car with explody things and guns.
Was having a car full of explody things and guns one of the ways by any chance?
Due to having to come via various people and meetings the car is already packed full of kit and I am at my forward base (Base Camp 1 I am calling it) ready for a strike at the summit on Saturday morning. However, after all the c#@p today (currently taking a break from work at 11.30pm to write this) and having to pack the car in 20 minutes this afternoon and leaving behind various goodies, my GQ is a very poor 3.
But I expect that to rise to a respectable 9 when I make my attempt at the summit on Saturday morning.
Bring it on!
I too am stuck in a FOB as such ( Girlfriends house ), and ave been here for a week now, Car has been packed for the whole time and sitting on the drive, am ready for the Op Lava run to the site tomorow, am on a high at the moment but am down to a 7.5 as I saw the weather report for Portsmouth area on Sunday, RAIN!!!
"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."
pssst, underground!
I saw the weather report for Portsmouth area on Sunday, RAIN!!!
You'll be underground!
Yeah, this may be the first time at UCAP where we're glad to be underground... When we've been there before it's always been glorious sunshine outside!
GQ approx an 8.5... As I don't feel as ill as I did earlier in the week and everything is finally coming together!
Dean has packs almost all his stuff into the British webbing, which means that whwn he sits on the arm of the sofa in it I can push him back and he is like a turtle. Gidiness quota rising.
I know it's underground, it's the flooding that is making me think, that and the long drive home sunday evening through it, and theres me that went and cleaned my car yesterday as well!
