Is anyone able to bring along a metal drinking tankard to Freshman?
We've a few but run dry on getting more and all those off duty landsers will need something to drink their scnapps and beer out of!

Charity shops are you friend! For both pewter/alli 'ship' types and Germanic/Austriaic steins (there's usually a few steins per town, brought back from holidays as gifts and then donated by the ungrateful reciever )

Well I'll be bringing my own, along with my own schnapps and wine. Its thirsty work being an engineer you know.

You'd think so wouldnt you mate
I spent all day trawling beestons charity shops (of which there are over a dozen) and found.... ONE.
Add that to my own 'five year veterans' service tankard i was awarded* that gives us a grand total of two. I've a few metal goblets we can use but ideally i want indestructable crockery in the bar for Freshman.
Now when you DONT want the buggers the shops are full of them i agree.

* note five years service to Games Workshop not any credible organisation... I used to piss myself how GW refer to staff as 'five year vets' and 'ten year vets' , store managers were 'Squad leaders' and retail managers 'Veteran Sgts' ... My tankard even has 'Brother Harvey' engraved on it ffs....
