The dboys k98 does it have to obey the 20m minimum rule, its running at 280 fps

what im worried about is confusion, people see the k98 and "assume" its a tanka, it works well, but id hate someone to feel they had been popped too close by a rifle. so if its in any way an issue , ill just go along with the standard rifle rules

While fairer to say 'under 328' no minimum range it does lead to a potential confusion/argument.

At the end of the day its an invite only game, all the players are sensible, we're all grown ups and i dont expect anyone to do anything dangerous (well other than at the social!)

My vote is that an exception should be made for the d-boys or any other rifle in the normal power ranger for AEGs.

People can be made aware of their use in the briefing.

We could possibly put a line of masking tape round the rear or fore stock? Just to mark them out?

gadge, can you just clarify engagement, to me an engagement is a contact with the enemy, be it 2 mins or 6 hours. i assume you mean the whole day?

Nige, by "engagement" he means "scenario"... there will be multiple scenarios through the day.

GF usually chrono weapons and mark the guns appropriately with little stickers. BA rifles usually get a different sticker. I have no idea if this is planned for sunday's game, but would work.

The game is broken up into a series of 'combat missions'

We will play between 6 and 10 (potentially) of these.

They last between 30 minutes and an hour.

During this time your side will have an agenda, your opponents will have objectives (they may or may not be the same thing) and each individual partisan will have his own personal agenda.

Success or failure to meet objectives governs which scenario (from a massive list we spent ages writing up) we play next.

When you leave the start line you need to have everything on you for that 'engagement' or 'combat mission'.

So 300 rounds lasts you the whole length of the mission.

We're *hoping* this will make spraying and praying pointless and suicidal, will reinforce the vlaue of the rifle and will make smg users reserve their weapon for where its needed like trench and house clearing etc.

Its not set in stone if we find it unworkable we can potentially up it.

So its 300 rounds for all non support weapons? I thought I read somewhere it was 120 or some such for bolt actions or did I imagine that?

If you do colour them i know this is a no brainer but make sure you use something to dye them that wont stain your clothes if its wet on the day.
