There was some talk a while ago about going to Bovington on the Saturday before Wotan . As players will not be able to get on site before 18:30 ish , could be a good way of spending Saturday afternoon .

Without getting bogged down on the "in kit /in civvies " argument is anyone interested in meeting up as it will be open on the 6th Oct .?

It's 60 miles / 1 hour away from Wotan/UCAP , cost £10 entrance fee, and takes a good 3 hours for a look around.

Personally would want to get there for around midday , spend 3-4 interesting hours and then get over to UCAP .

Post interest below .

You could book yourselves in as group, call yourselves the "Tiger 1 appreciation society" & say you will be in period dress! I have to work the Sat so won't get to Wotan till Sunday monring,

I've booked Friday off so I will be packing my stuff on that day.

Just checking the drive time from house to Bovington - put me down for a 85% going lol

Not been to the museum since I was 15 lol

Well worth it, Del - they have pretty much the whole range of German WW2 AFVs, including TWO King Tigers!

Yup, 2 king tigers. Both the Porsche and the Henschel versions. They got a Jagdtiger there too.

Looking doubtful if I'll be able to get to this one at all, got a birthday party for a four year old on the Sat afternoon to organise and a party Sat night that I can't get out of without war breaking loose with the wife, given the distances I might have to pull out.

My car load should be hitting Sabre and maybe the other sights of Portsmouth..

But I can wholeheartedly recommend the tank museum!
