Just spoken to the boss down at UCAP (Andy). Due to a problem with the peas used in the TLSFX grenades growing on the site (no, its not a joke - I'm serious) they now have them made up with different filling.
Andy says that he will have a large supply of pyro for sale on the day, again, TLSFX stuff, and it will all be at very good prices.

Ah, I thought stick grenades had bbs in them.
One thing, why is it that the when I planted about 100 cultivated peas in my carefully dug and fertilised vegetable patch I only get 5 plants growing, yet when they explode from a grenade in a cold, dark, underground tunnel they flourish!?!?!
Yes, it's the dried peas that are the problem - UCAP keep the tunnels very clean and tidy and I guess it could be a slip hazard too. Looks very eerie though, like some sort of fungus, as the white shoots grow upwards trying to find light.

The thermobaric's are excellent. They give a moderatly loud, low Whump and a bright flash. they then leaves a very effective smoke screen in the tunnels which takes about 5 minutes to fully disperse.
you need to use them wisely when in defence as they can give the oposition a nice smoke screen to advance on your position behind.

Very good! Good point about the smoke - when I was caught in a corner I lobbed three MK5s in the space of 5 mins or so. It backfired on me as the enemy were able to move in smoke cover across my field of fire. I ended up lying flat on the floor so I could see beneath the smoke and was shooting at their feet!
The peas do indeed grow, from everywhere!
Looks like bean shoots, wherever a pea lands, it grows.
Coming out the roof, the floor, bloody everywhere!
We now use powder as a result.
I might start growing mushrooms there!
Depending on what kind of Mushrooms, you could probably make a nice little profit flogging them down at Paulsgrove and Leigh park.

andy, i sucsessfully removed all the peas from my stick grenades, and refilled them with plastic BBs, will they be ok to use ????
