from the inital breif, it seem like its going to be a recce to contact type game.

i was expecting a static defence by the germans, but in tunnels you would need at least 40 allies to rout 20 germans out. (3 to 1, odds recomended in real life)

the "evacuation" idea is a good one , both sides have to move in and find things and each other, no one side has an overall advantage (apart from the germans natural advantage of being better than the allies  )

im already looking forward to this game so much.

will the brits and US work together??? or will they race to be the "winners" of finding the wonder weapons and so take all the glory.

not that any of this matters, myself and tiny will have plundered and sold any valubles, long before anyone else gets down there

I didn't.

Technically we blew the V1 at CR on Sunday (when you were stowed away in your tent Syd).....although rain stopped play as the BB grenade disintegrated in Morgs' hand. It had been in my pocket all weekend.

Anyway, as Oldsweat said in another thread somewhere. It's not about the winning, it's the taking part.....which is something most of the Allies from CR should take note of! ;) You actually have to take part! :D

On our forum we keep track of the score on our games, only fair way to do it.

So its 2:1..

final.

Heavy water is the prize, the Germans win & they can destroy Paris & London, the Allies win & they can use it to nuke the Japs

Well since SS Assault Battalion WOTAN is "the AH's Fire Brigade" I think Project Wotan is a new fire engine.

I thought wotan was the code name for something to do with radio communications but it eludes me at the moment, and I could of course be wrong

Good to see some have cottoned on to the name of the game - maybe some more research might glean the significance of 'Wotan'?

You won't have seen a documentary that is specifically related to the October game - many clues in Kermit's scenario piece and research into 'Wotan' in general may help.... (Wikipedia and Google are wonderful things :P )
