Here are some photos of my Airsoft Molotov.
Its a soft plastic bottle, with a small amount of Petrol (strawberry jelly) and a lightstick.
When used in the game it must have the lightstick broken before use and then it must be thrown (underarm) or dropped in a vehicle WITHIN 15 SECONDS.

now thats clever 10 out of 10
the "proper" ones will have a yellower glow stick and lime jelly, I dont the the germans used dyed fuel
this is a Demonstration version.
Also the bottles may be slightly smaller, and thus a bit lighter.

the jelly is mixed very thick and is "Solid" so no leaks, it was the best substance to use, not hard, but no liquid either

Yeah, I realised that just after posting. Somehow I had the US meaning for jelly in my head, which is of course Jam.
Anyway, nice solid jelly sounds perfect! Cheap, easily available, solid and non-staining. (I have kids, so know this to be true)
Extra bonus for these is if you're a bit peckish...

you could wrap the glow stick in a bit of translucent polythene bag,the scrunchy type of bag,should give a fluttery look when thrown ,more like flame and real easy to do.

Great idea!! Although I will be a serious jelly target! 
Can you make it sugar free jelly?( it won't stain paintwork) thanks guys or do it with lime flavour!

Cool, I do like the idea of these! Is there a time limit to breaking the glow stick to throwing them? Having bunged a few real ones I know they can go up before you are ready

30 seconds from light to throw, so the player must really "Think" before using one.
