Re: Airsoft MG34

Nicely done ! Now don't b ashamed if it suffers from the WW2 support weapon curse  nearly half the support weapons that start the day at a WW2 event are dead by lunch time .
Seriously though you've done a very good job on it ,well done .

Re: S&S no.4 Lee Enfield rebuild

What you can do with the mags is profile the edges , the BB channel is in the middle so the two long bottom edges fan be rounded off , I user some walnut laminate on the bottom of the mags on one as well and that helped ease their appearance as well . If you want to get extreme you can lower the top...

Re: Bren and again and again

Test fired the Bren today and it fed beautifully :D so I moved on and made another mag and tested that one and it fed perfectly as well :good: .
One more mag to go and a little paint touch up and I'm finished , just waiting on Simon to get back to me about the gearbox upgrades and she's finished !

Re: S&S no.4 Lee Enfield rebuild

Its annoying that genuine woodwork on either the NO4 or K98 both just don't quite have enough meet underneath where a vsr mag has to sit , strangely the Dboys crappy shell ejector is just a tad thicker underneath .... Pity about the wood quality though . I've often toyed with the idea of making a st...

Re: S&S no.4 Lee Enfield rebuild

Is there no support at all between the receiver block and the hop unit on the S+S ? On all the custom bolties I've done I always left a bit of the outer barrel to mount the hop onto , it just made alignment easier .
The build is looking good :good:

Re: Airsoft MG34

The MGF42 I did a few years ago had a 90° hop feed and had no flexible tube , it connected directly as you fitted the drum like a normal mag so the drum had the top part of a mag grafted on its side and the gun had the hop tube slightly sticking out of the side , worked really well , I hate flexible...

Re: Side feed hop unit

That's a new one on me , were they ever used in WW2 ? I like the odd ones , always fancied making a Leningrad Gun myself. Looks like a fun project , the mag looks to go in horizontal but below the barrel level, an interesting challenge , I'm sure your testing will work out well :good:

Re: Bren and again and again

I've finalized the magazine internals design and duplicates are printing now , then i'll modify the Bren mags and fit it all together . https://i.imgur.com/MIEkO44l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qLWAy5gl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3ujKh1Ll.jpg https://i.imgur.com/57Afs0il.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6VrbjrVl.jpg...

Re: Bren and again and again

I made it in two pieces that screw together , that way there was no overhangs or possibility of stringing or random defect inside out of sight , I may end up not screwing it together , I got a tip that you could use a 3d pen to repair printed parts so I've been experimenting , i ordered a 3d pen and...

Re: Side feed hop unit

For the pre viva and agm sten's I made I did the reverse , I cut the adjuster off and stuck it back on at 90° then milled new flats on the side of the barrel so it was rotated 90° as well ,my thought was that the adjuster was under less stress than the feed tube and it meant I didn't need as much pr...
