Re: Open days... whats the consensus nowadays

Welcome back! The vast majority of the old crowd have gone now, alas. WW2 games are now, in the most part, one day affairs, it's very rare that you'll see a weekender and, even rarer that you'll see one that doesn't get cancelled! I won't go into the reasons why this has happened, it's all old news ...

Cheap Webley.

Just a heads up, that Taiwan Gun (in Poland) have a Well full metal version of the Webley Service Revolver, which is a lot cheaper than the Wingun one.

Gone but definitely not forgotten.

Thank you!

Cheers

Thanks Charlie. We had some great times for sure and, some of the events are still airsoft benchmarks for me. Sadly, many don't share your sentiments!

Happy Anniversary!

Although CiA no longer exists, I thought it was worth a mention that this weekend marks the 10th anniversary of the first, large scale WW2 game and, the birth of this forum and community. To all of the comrades in arms that I made over the years, cheers!

Re: Large Weekend Event

I'd be up for a weekend event. Are you able to add a poll to this thread? some people have an opinion on such things but can not always be bothered to type it. Sadly, that's all been done before. When the "old guard" drifted away, the WW2 "scene" changed quite a bit, with a move...

Re: Large Weekend Event

There's a big misconception about weekend events among many. Some seem to think it means going at it non-stop, balls out and hardcore for the duration, like some of the wannabe modern milsims and, that you need SAS levels of fitness and endurance to attend. Nothing could be further from the truth an...

Re: RIP Tim England "Pride"

Very, very sad to have heard this (also seen on FB). Shared some good times with Tim, we shared a similar mindset to WW2 games and, to life in general and, he was a staunch supporter of CiA. My thoughts go out to his family and, I'll raise a glass or few to him, just as he would have wanted. RIP mate.

Re: Gunman in WW2

The player base has changed dramatically over the last couple of years Josh and, many, if not all, of the "old guard" have moved on to other things, or, quit airsoft altogether. The "success" of a game now seems to depend on groups of players booking for it, rather than ones and ...

I have a Japanese cap/havelok that's surplus to requirements, if anyone needs one. Size is 59/60.
