Yes, many thanks for organising this one. This missions worked really well, and considering the size of the site and our small numbers, we had an amazing number of contacts. Hats off the US for pulling off a perfect ambush, waiting until we were right in the fire sack before obliterating us complete...

When can we get on site on Friday? At the last one I rolled up at my usual time to find it all locked up, although Josh turned up eventually.

That was really good fun and the timing of the British Commandos arriving at Pegasus Bridge was impeccable. I've not played at Combat South for years and I really enjoyed the site and thought the game made very good use of the layout. A huge thumbs up to Gordon for the radios which worked really wel...

Camo cream wasn't really a thing in WW2. As noted above, burnt Cork, boot polish, mud... were sometimes used.

Most frontline soldiers were pretty grubby and/or suntanned anyway.

It has been years since I've been to Combat South and that google map above seems to take you to a hospital cemetary. Where is the actual site off Mayles Lane? Is it up the dirt track leading off to the northeast to the large wood?
