Re: Truppenfahrrad - Grab yourself a bargain!

Gordon, the Germans, like the Brits, used "militarized" versions of civilian roadster models. From a very informative pdf on the topic: http://www.gr916.co.uk/assets/pdfs/Das%20Truppenfahrrad.pdf When the bicycle left the factory it was painted in satin black. Everything was black except t...

Re: close the door - do you live in a Zelt-bahn

Zelts are one of those items where originals cost about the same as repros.

There's one on evilbay right now - £49.99 (buy it now)

What about Drill Sergeant for the British?

The organisers seem to have dropped a bollock forgetting that one.
Fortunately I can step in to make the Regiment look more soldierly

Re: Ashdown Camp....POW game ??

There is a lack of interest in 'non-contact' events, you are probably only looking at 10-15 players at most who would want an event the featured minimal trigger time - & unfortunately that means most sites are not cost effective. Massive shame  Which is annoying, as the non-contact events ...

Re: Using the Dartford Crossing?

What  so what happens if you don't know you'll be using the crossing or are a tourist, is there no way to pay when you get there? If you're a foreign tourist in a non-GB registered car, you're laughing. They reckon that 250,000 foreign motorists haven't paid in the first 4 months of the sche...

Using the Dartford Crossing?

Anyone using the clockwise M25 route to get to Sandpit via the Dartfort crossing should be aware that the toll booths have gone as they no longer take payment in cash. You now have to pay your £2.50 online or by phone here https://www.gov.uk/pay-dartford-crossing-charge or else get a zillion pound ...

Re: Chindits

Thanks for the links and advice guys. I've seen people mention a guy called sanjay who sells jg kit. Will have to track him down. Sanjay runs an Indian company called Replicaters which I believe has re-invented itself as Paddelaters. Only place an order if you're happy to never see money or product...

Re: Totally hooked

for "walking out" dress, hooks are essential as the belt won't be in the right position without them. For a full webbing combat scenario they can be a liability. Either snagging on the belt or putting too much strain on a tunic so it tears.
