Re: The old, how was it for you thread?!

An excellent day as per usual.. :) Rifle only games are the best... No, no...!! Early war games are the best... er... My first game for a year, since the last EW Rifles game! Re: Excitement

I just remembered this is happening this weekend!

Luckily uniform is ready as I've been re-enacting in it. I have 3 rifles to choose from, so one of them will work fine.

I may be a bit slower than usual, but I'll be there.

Re: Join the Poor Bloody Infantry - new allied group.

PBI are active, they just don't airsoft.

There is a "new PBI" which is primarily about re-enacting. A few of the original members (including Gadge) still take part.

And don't forget the Chronoing!

As at Eagles, there will be a chrono of all rifles before the operation starts.

Re: Jungle Green Battle Dress Buttons

They're not 100% the shape the originals were, but they're pretty damn close! Closest I've seen yet!

Original buttons on the left, my attempts on the right.

Re: British kit questions

That's just one way of wearing it.

You can also wear it with the strap at it's shortest and the tie just round your back.

One method is for normal wear and the other is for when gas attack really is imminent.

I forget which is which and they do have names...

Re: Your questions, our answers

I can't get to this at all.

I thought it was being resurrected in October, a date I could have managed.

Even if I wasn't on a family holiday on these dates, which I am, it's very unlikely I could ever make any weekend in August, it being the busiest time in the re-enactment year.
