Re: Chindits

Just noticed one thing from your pic on another thread with the cap badge. Your slouch hat currently looks Australian as it has the bash in the top running front to back. The British used a more circular bash. http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/attachments/cloth-headgear-western-allies/521985d1370449824-...

You then need a black beret with cap badge, boots, ankl...

Re: Chindits

Just to resurrect an old thread. I've finally got my Chindit impression sorted. It's in a useable state right now but still needs the odd thing to make it proper like. Tuck the shirt in. I would ditch the E-tool. If you want to dig in, the jungle will make it impossible and you would have a shovel ...

WW2 themed skirmish at Spartan Airsoft 29/5/16

More of a themed walkon day but it's nice to have something in the Bristol area for once and it's a step in the right direction.

Re: New Owen Gun

I wouldn't bother finding a better match for the yellow. The correct colour would just make it look aweful. I much prefer your more toned down colour scheme.
Any chance of video of it shooting? Or you could just pop over to the UK so I can have a play :D

Re: New Owen Gun

As another Owen gun fan, I love it :) I notice though that you didn't go with the bright green and bright yellow of the originals. Aesthetics before historical accuracy? http://www.securityarms.com/photos/1277313920.jpg tbh, I prefer your more muted colours :) Did you look at the thread of Dadio bui...

Re: Today I....

I finally got a job!
I lost my job at the end of last may and have only managed some temp work since. This should mean I will be able to afford to get to some games again. :happyclap:

Re: The Kit Pic Thread

Due to my unusual choice of Aussie gear, along with Dadio's awesome work on the owen gun, I get singled out by photographers a lot when at reenactment events. I thought this one was worth sharing: https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpt1/v/t1.0-9/13015172_1146090095441744_264061586402443744...

Re: Opinions on ammo amounts.

I definitely want to give it a go. :) Re the May game you mention, I can find only one (Eversley?), but that has only nine signed up for the Germans so I assume I'm missing one somewhere else? If not are there people already going who aren't on the list? 95 miles but with camping and facilities, so...

Re: Opinions on ammo amounts.

All my guns are full auto. I have never had a problem with ammo limits. I do however find myself being more reckless if I know I am nearing the limit (I will have to go back to the respawn anyway). When I first had my Sten, I put a burstwizard mosfet in it, this allowed me to limit the length of bur...

When you say 'Lad', is this for a small head?
If so them maybe something like this could be adapted: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kombat-UK-Kids- ... rds=helmet

Re: Attending WWII airsoft events

If you don't drive, my suggestion would be to start with an allied impression. This opens up the possibility of travelling by train. Although I am currently unemployed and unable to make it to games, I have faced the same issues. What I did was travel in full gear by train. Simply find the nearest s...

Re: British Para Helmet

Dispatch riders, Airborne and Royal Armoured corps all used the same helmet shell with different liners and chin straps. The RAC used them up until the 1980's so that would be the cheapest. An open face motorbike helmet is another option that I have seen pictures of somewhere. I personally went for ...
