Re: Quartermasters Stores - Your kit queries here.

Got a KD shirt from WPG, but no washing instructions. I don't usually wash my kit that much, but I think it has some factory stuff on it, and I have sensitive skin. Heard it can also help with the "new" look, along with letting it sit in the sun. Can someone enlighten a dummy how to wash ...

Re: Hiki French uniforms

I do find the early battles between the French and the Italians rather interesting, though it'd never happen in airsoft; it'd be too difficult to concentrate on the fighting without stopping constantly to admire each others kit! :giggle: Dragging this one up from the past, this might be of interest...

There is an oval coth patch for the beret which is also correct but for the life of me I can't remember where we got them.

Re: Mousqueton Berthier Mle 1916

Very nice. My own full length Fusil Berthier Mle 1916 has been on hold because I don't have a realistic outer barrel or a magazine.

It should be noted that using any part of a deactivated rifle to make an airsoft gun is illegal in the UK.

Yer for yank, French with button change and they are just about bang on, if not bang on :) and they are toasty warm in wet or cold weather, found them quite comfy to wear as long as get the right size, took me 3 coats to get it right lol If you wanted to be really picky / spot on you would need to ...

Re: Allied Greatcoat Substitutes

WPG did a repro British greatcoat, it's out of stock at the moment but you never know. http://onlinemilitaria.net/products/1014-UK-P40-Greatcoats/ Sounds expensive but even 1950s Fench made US lookalikes are pushing £100.00 in large sizes (if they ever come up) and this is a brand new wool greatcoat...

Re: RWA Lee enfield

After experimenting with my VSR/SMLE build I have concluded the following: If it has the standard VSR bolt travel, and the bolt is located in the realistic location, it will be very uncomfortable to cock with the rifle shouldered. I found this was only a problem with rifles packing high powered 450...

Re: Latest 'threat' to airsofting

The vast majority of soldiers in WW2 had rifles. A problem with higher than 350 FPS is that when you do get in to closer quarters (defending /storming bunkers or trenches) rifles aren't able to safely engage, so ensuring that all rifles can engage at closer ranges encourages their use and hence a ce...
