Re: AGM MP40 3D printed upgrades

Explanations are not needed Gavin, I’m already having parts made, from a guy in Braintree. He runs 4 printers, the trouble is he’s very busy with other stuff to do, so it takes weeks with him to get results. Plus he doesn’t understand the “airsoft connection” as you do, but no probs, I’ll persevere ...

Re: AGM MP40 3D printed upgrades

This is great stuff! Maybe I’ll have to commission you to make some Sten type hop units, as the originals of those are pretty pony, as well.
Also want some side loader hops for some other projects that will feed from the side. :good:

Re: Weapon for a game

Finished for now, my short k98/G33/vz24 or something like that, haven’t cut the barrel section, so I might do that later, but it’s ready for the game. I’ve a lot more crap to do before the game (room decoration )so no more time for pop gun alterations .

Re: 1928 Thompson cocking bolt

I have managed to get a bit of the strip on at the rear end, you can see it in one of the photos,I did think of some side “buffers” as is were, but it complicated assembly a bit, And I just wanted to see it work! Maybe an improved sliding plate that mimics the crimp strip shape will work, but I’m ju...

Re: Weapon for a game

Started on front barrel clamp, I was going to cut down the barrel to use a 16mm tube to represent the barrel end, but I’m short cutting on this for now, maybe do that later. It’s going to have the original piece for the moment, hopefully won’t look too weird.

Re: Weapon for a game

A bit more done to this, not sure if it’s going to be finished before the game, but I might get it done close enough, to use.
Made rear top wood clamp, and rear sight platform.

Re: 1928 Thompson cocking bolt

Thanks, I know I’m Probably not the first to do this, but the fact that the bolt was on the side has been bugging me for ages, so I had to have a go at this, and now I will do the rest of my pop guns that need ebb too! I enjoy doing these things, years of working and making things for cars and motor...

Re: 1928 Thompson cocking bolt

Finished for now, running on a 7.4 lipo, with gates mosfet, on single shot relaxes spring on every shot. Auto does the same.....most of the time, stock rof , will put some pellets through this, maybe 5000 or so then pull it apart to see if there’s anything going wrong. Doesn’t run full length as I’v...

Re: 1928 Thompson cocking bolt

A bit more done the blowback mechanism, thought I would bolt it all together so adjustments could be made if necessary. Originally planned to weld it all in one piece. So if this prototype works I will do welded pieces.
Not yet made handling piece, but it all works!

Re: A&K M1 Garand problem

Good pic’s, I seem to remember reading somewhere that the mags for this model were held in by friction, where’s The mag catch? It doesn’t look like you have any worn parts, yet you say the mag is loose when fitted. The mags for most of these guns don’t have to be tight fitting but movement should be...
