Re: Replacement 37 patt Ammo Pouch Studs ?

Watching with interest McV :good:

Having checked the 37 webbing that I have, this pouch seems to be an early-type as it has the bullet loops in the lid, but is dated 1943 .............. and has an apparently original smooth cap to the popper ??

Fallschirmjager FJ Trousers * postage now included *

Fallschirmjager FJ Kit Bought in FJ kit last year to attend Fuhrer's and Crete this year; got to Fuhrer's but due to work commitments will not now be able to attend Crete. It looks like I'll not be able to get to any of the listed WW2 events this year, so I'm looking to sell on my FJ kit to fund co...

Re: Replacement 37 patt Ammo Pouch Studs ?

Reply from repro webbing supplier - " ... I’m very sorry but I can’t help you out on the Newey Equipment press studs, as in the late 80’s or early 90’s Newey Brothers went bust and was broken up / asset stripped , and the fastener designs were bought out by three different companies Pry...

Re: Replacement 37 patt Ammo Pouch Studs ?

As you say Chommers ... someone must make them ......... :-? I've fired off a couple of emails to repro hardware suppliers, so will see what they can come up with. Plan B was to be 'creative' and try using the plain type and gently centre-punch a few dimples in, but would have to be careful not to d...

Replacement 37 patt Ammo Pouch Studs ?

As per the title, I'm after a few ammo pouch brass press studs; these are the Newey-type fasteners but that have the dimpled cap, as opposed to the smock fasteners that have the smooth back. I'm sure that I've seen them somewhere but my google-fu must be weak tonight - leads/links much appreciated p...

Re: 'Budget' Step-In Smock - Updated, with pic.

That standard is definitely over the level i would require at even a more serious ww2 event. Appreciate the 'vote of confidence', cheers :good: If the bugger who knife kills you complains you dont have the right amount of pockets, then hes a stitch spotter, plain and simple :D :giggle: ..... maybe ...
