Re: The Brits are coming and are Full .....

I remember it being cold enough for the balalclava at Last Bullet in March:

Re: November Open Day Meet Up of Awesomeness

I've never been to an open day...

I know I'm now free on the weekend of 12th - 13th!

Battledress and jerkin sounds good to me, I hope it's cold enough for the balaclava too!

Re: Amazing thankyou

Massive thanks to all involved. I thoroughly enjoyed that, although the aches are still here. The drop and rendezvous were excellent. As paras we did seem to be behind the game a bit in the afternoon. I attended the Grafton training in preparation for the cancelled Hut 9 game and that should have be...

Re: Event in trouble

Yes, that was exactly my point on booking thread.

Happy to go particularly as it's only 10 minutes away so I can leave 5 minutes before the start...

But it's nice to know an event is cared for!

Re: Bookings for Operation Bagration 'The Deep Battle'

Hi Josh

As you've said bookings are listed elsewhere but that page does not seem to be being updated so it is difficult to follow what the booking situation may be.

I am a simple lad and would prefer to see all information in one place.

If I wasn't still sunning myself in the Dordognes with Goodwood Revival still to come it would be considerably higher than the 7/10 it currently is.

Re: Battle for Centuripe Cancelled

That's a shame.

I was 50:50 as allied but wouldn't have been unable to confirm until the last minute so wouldn't have wanted you relying on my attendance.

Summer holidays are always difficult.

Sorry I couldn't be more supportive.

Re: Let's hear everyone's opinions

Points all noted I think you are all probably right would have been better to start an attack . It was fine as it was. It was seen as a mortar attack and we then attacked the mortar pits. Whenever it come it adds to the feel. At Il Giogio I was a casualty of the placed artillery fire and at Mervill...

Re: Thanks to the organisers!

Another voice added to the chorus of approval here. I had a fantastic day. Switched to the sten for the last two battles but had far more success earlier in the day with a Lee Enfield that was not just sub 500 but sub 300fps. I threw grenades which at least headed in the right direction and managed ...

Re: Q & A thread

Hmm, I see the US Infantry are already full up...

I do not have M42s. Can I assume M41s and M1937 trousers are acceptable as glider infantry as per the middle drawing on your example, or are you only after paratroops?

Re: Bookings for Operation 'Bloodhound'

Are us lonely Brits just going to amalgamate with the yanks? :ghey: I am hoping to come, as Brit, but am currently valiantly trying to ignore a groin strain, waiting for a steroid injection to the left knee and the results of an MRI scan to the right knee. I may get my Private Godfrey uniform out. ...
