Stain it, then oil it. No varnish required - unless its Ruskie guns, where they tended to whack large amounts of thick varnish on the wood. My Mosi carbine deac is just oiled, by the looks of it, no varnish at all, so i guess like pretty much all wartime production, it just depended on what was ava...

Not exactly a recent acquisition, but i remembered the other day that i probably still had an old pair of german jackboots in the cellar. just found them in a right state, but i've washed the mould off 'em, and they're currently soaking up most of a tin of polish/restorer... Perfect for that frontli...

for a 'what if?' scenario, Operation Sealion would be interesting. Most of the Brits would have to be HG or civvies though, and we'd either need a Seaside town or the all germans would all have to be FJ...

or we could get the rubber dingy's out and do a Dunkirk scenario? :D

Heya Evo! Dont worry though i'm sure we can find a place for your MG as prop in the HQ at an event or two! hiya mate. ww2 airsoft is perfect for me as i've got half the german kit knocking around already, and it's not so anal that i'll get sarky comments about my hair, i can just tuck it in my lid....

Hi all, just thought i'd make a welcome post on here, heard about this place, and ww2 airsoft through Gadge, and it sounds quite interesting!
