Re: Classic Army Sten and M1/M2 Carbine

Sorry guys but I am not impressed by CA at all. I have bought 4 guns from them and each one had a problem. My AGM is more reliable. 1) my CA m4 has had a crack in the receiver (fixed). 2) my CA mp5 also had a crack in the receiver. 3) my colt 1911 ALSO had a crack in the receiver, the mag broke very...

Re: Budget Thompson at AW...and review

Bit of a necro post but I`ve just come across this critter again in a slightly diffent format ie: a clear receiver, and more expensive at £69.95. They have two models listed one with drum and one with stick mag. https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/Thompson-M1A1-Military-AEG-Airsoft-rifle-with-drum-...

Re: luger wood grips

WE also make one for their luger. Although it is an airsoft grip, it is fairly cheap and fits on their luger with no modification. Hope this helps cheers, any links as to where to get them? I don't have one but I saw the grip in a shop next to their luger line and I took a look at it. Try places li...

Budget Kit

Ok guys, I am new to militaria collecting and kit. I am looking towards a British Infantry loadout under 60 quid (no gun). Would any of you guys be kind enough to tell me cheap but realistic ways of getting a "lookalike" kit. (I still want original or repro webbing though). Thankyou 8)

Re: Sten Problems

Silicone oil won't help, and could make it worse. On the contacts ONLY, contact cleaner, or a small amount of WD40 should be used and wiped off. Acetone (nail varnish remover) or IPA (IsoPropyl Alcohol), or surgical spirit could also be used, but make sure not to get any of it ANYWHERE other than t...

Re: Sten Problems

I did bend them back into place and it is working much better but still not 100% of the time. Thanks for your help. Maybe I could try and put VIVA contacts in the gun instead. 8) The contacts might need cleaning. Because of the large current flowing in them, every time the contacts make, they arc a...

Re: Sten Problems

A friend's AGM Sten did have a similar problem. It came down to the way the contacts had bent during use. The switch is simply a pair of metal contacts. I suggest having a close look and you may find they're not connecting correctly. If they aren't then you should be able to carefully bend them bac...
