I am going to hazard a guess that they originally copied a current issue Indian or Pakistani army one and that at some point since 1947 they had changed the orientation of the pocket. And added a strap. :wink:

Band of brothers had quite desaturated colour so everthing looked drab. If you buy a new one just use it and wash it a couple of times and it will have the look. Not too hot or i will shtink and dry canvas rigger pockets flat to avoid white lines.

British Army mountain cap?

Hi folks,

So, does anyone make a decent British Army mountain cap? (Yes, I have been watching Heroes of Telemark :-) ) My tweed cap has no ear flaps, my ears have been getting cold lately and I draw the line at a dear stalker.

Indeed, in my ignorance I used an AGM with a narrow cylinder for my No4 (I actually thought is was a VSR clone) and as a result the receiver is exactly the same dimenions as the real one. No chance of that with a proper VSR clone.
