Re: Hiki French uniforms

The Mle 38 side pack is a lovely bag, with few minor niggles: - the colour is a little orange - originals are either seem to be a light green simnilar to post war french packs or very faded looking tan; The srap is made of quite a thin webbing fabric, not so that it would break, but it folds itself ...

Re: Hiki French uniforms

BTW, my Mle 38 uniform was from Schipperfabrik, and I am not *that* impressed with its accuracy, (pockets not sloped, pantalons"golf" not silly enough etc). I have higher hopes for Hiki. Just as well, as schipper seem to have given it up.

Re: Wot no face mask ! Gum shield to save teeth !

I don't agree with general absolution whereby the person who causes a problem is excused because the person affected hadn't taken every possible precaution in case someone behaves like a tw*t. Hear, hear! A wiser man than me once said the best way not to be shot in the face is to present your whole...

Re: Would you be interested in...

It could just be that they have their webbing adjusted to sit on their waistline? I have never seen anything that indicates that you should put the belt loops over your webbing and even if that is the intention of the guy who designed the trousers/shorts, I really cant see any soldiers doing that. ...

Unfortunately Stoneleigh has just come and gone but, if you can get there, Malvern Militaria Fair is in 4 weeks.

You are better off going to a show of some kind with lots of traders, you are more likely to find something better at a good price.
