Re: References for British Loadouts

Was the US format the same as British? Mine dont look like theirs and mine were done by Simon Tierney (who rea...

Re: The Kit Pic Thread

I think he meant M1 helmet. Again, as aforementioned a helmet had been bought, i just dont get receipt of it until April 6! with a damaged c1 and previously prolapsed L4 and L5 i tend to avoid 'steel helmets' where possible as it's just not worth the cripping back pain. I put one on to go 'u...

Re: The Kit Pic Thread

I'm suprised no ones commented on the UK WWII desert boots rather than roughouts and the UK no2 dress trousers.

If its the lack of a t-shirt that is the obvious thing that makes me feel less farby :)

Re: Small Pack replacement items..

Re: Small Pack replacement items..

I think thats perfectly fine, kit inspections were rarely if ever done 'in the field' , you just needed to make sure you carried the items needed to keep yourself and your kit soldierly and smart (then as now). Re: Small Pack replacement items..

You could within reason carry any thing *extra* at your discretion but losing or damaging issued items without a *really* good reason would be classed as wilful damage to kings property or a similar charge for losing stuff. Usually in the British Army you get charged twice for anything you lose, onc...
