Can you go into a bit more detail at all?

Would be interesting to know what is wrong so I can avoid if need be :P

Well the bbs were flying all over the place some left some right and some straight to the ground after 2 meters. To fix this problem I drilled a bigger hole trough the casing so now it shots good enough for me. ps. It is a great time to get one as they are even cheaper right now (52€).

Over the last few (winter) months I pushed a project that has (literally) been left unused in the drawer for nearly eight(!) years. :D

- Ammo Boots
- P37 Belt Order (belt, holster, magazine pouch)

Where I live (Germany), there are no WW2-Airsoft-Events, unfortunately. So that danger has been averted. :happydance:

That is really excellent - I like how you've presented it all in the photo especially. What type of KD shirt is that? I had one of the WPG repro "KD Aertex Desert Shirts" and loved it, but the chest pocket pattern was a bit different than that. I since sold it and have been on the hunt for a good quality repro KD shirt, preferably with a full button front.

Here's a contribution of my own, in this case my "latest acquisition" is an XX magazine for the Thompson (Tokyo Marui 190rd hicap) and an original USN Mark 2 knife in an original sheath.

Many thanks. :) That's odd, because it's WPG's KD shirt, actually...
I also like your USMC stuff. The only thing I'd recommend is to sand off that white markings of your Thompson.

Where do you live in Germany? Maybe want to hop over for a game. Plenty of people that are happy to borrow some gear, if needed.

Interesting, I know they have several different versions of their "KD shirt" though. Mine was the "Aertex desert shirt", but they also have Australian and Canadian pattern KD shirts. I may just pick one of those up anyway.

Sadly it isn't my Thompson so the only modification I could make was to bring my own 20rd mag!

@Luiluei: I live in the southern part of Germany. We're mostly heading for (free4all) games on several sites in Austria, so England is sadly not the nearest place to travel. But thanks for the offer, I'll keep it definitely in mind and maybe... :good: :)

I once read (on a homepage about Australian equipment in WW2?) that British and Australian KD shirts were identical in build and differed only in materials (the Australian being made from heavier cotton). But the Canadian shirt is clearly a different pattern.

Also, I like the 20rds-style TM Highcap. Last week, i got mine, too.

That looks great! Do you have a thread or a post somewhere with info on how you converted your Thompson? I've given up on ever finding a CAW M1928 kit and am exploring options to convert an M1A1 to a "close enough" M1928A1.

Thanks. :) Sadly I haven't any pictures or the like of the conversion works...
But in a few words:
- I sew a fitting part out of an aluminium plate to close the side opening of the M1A1 Cyma Thompson and glued it in (and filled and sanded)
- Then I marked the opening for the bolt on the upper side, drilled a fitting hole on each side and sewed it out (of course, I smoothed the edges aftermath)
- The gun sight is also fully handmade, sewn out of aluminium
- The cutts compensator is an original one fitted to the barrel
- Also, the stock is an original one that I hollowed out carefully with an auger bit and some chisels

Just a very short and general description, but I hope it may help you a bit. If you need/ want further information, don't hesitate to send me a PM :good:

Picked up a nice stug wrap and an original M40 shell helmet along with a Hitlerjugend knife a couple of nice bayonets and another MP44. Just need the small bits to finish my panzer infantry kit now.
