What's the deal with the canvas looking shoulder patches that the guys in the BEF reenactment photos have on ? I haven't seen those before.

They're paper gas brassards that changed colour when gas was detected.

For those blanco addicts amongst us, there's a guy on the re-enactment forum selling pea green blanco, (suitable for early war, if you didn't already know), http://www.wwiireenacting.co.uk/forum/v ... 49&t=53252 also for those going RAF he's doing RAF blue/grey blanco http://www.wwiireenacting.co.uk/forum/v ... 49&t=53251 :good:

Ah, that's long awaited! I shan't bother as I won't get one in time - meh, I'll probably only be wearing a belt anyway.

I have some of the blanco on order, should be with me soon. First batch went quickly, he is making more but I do not know if will be available in time.

Pucks arrived in post today.
They are wrapped in original style packaging.
They are pea green and crumbly and taste like Blanco.
Pucks have a pheon on them.
Might be weekend before a get a chance to try ot on my webbing though.
