Big Red 1 is great, Matt - I know a lot of guys already have that anyway. As regards early/late look, well the scenario is set in '44, so whatever is appropriate for that period, please. (I'm assuming that like most armies in '44, there was a complete mixture of kit.)

It's going to depend a lot on what people have, Andy.

I know myself and many of the doughboys have the early stuff and nothing else. It's quite a bit of extra expense to get the late stuff as well as it's a complete change of uniform, all except helmet and webbing.

If poss I think we'd like the doughboys to look a bit like a unit, so all the early stuff. It looks nicer anyway! ;) I don't mind what others choose to wear. ;)

Quite possibly the late stuff didn't get to all the guys in 1st div until '45 anyway.

BTW, myself and Webby have gone and got 1st Div 16th Inf Reg DUI for our garrison caps. Generally not worn as late as '44, but fun for the evening piss up anyway.

Thanks for the info, Rich - whatever peeps have, that's fine. (I know nothing about US kit at all!)

Early or late war are both fine. We'd just want to stick to the two aforementioned units (Big Red 1 and CIC) as far as possible.
