I'm not entirely sure I believe you there... I mean it sounds German, but is a little bit off. :| :?

Great so "Yah Herr Sturmbahnfuhrer" and "ersatz kafee schnell dunkopf bootenbrushenundkaffeehersteller!!"

I am so glad I read Flying Guts picture library as a lad, my command of German is breathtaking

 well I'm not sure what Andy's rank will be at the game - I know he had Leutnant insignia at one point, but think he sold it.

Soooo the 'rank' I mentioned previously COULD be correct?

Think I'm right in saying Waffen SS to Waffen SS wouldn't use 'Herr Sturmbannführer' just 'Sturmbannführer' but Wehrmacht would address an SS officer as 'Herr Sturmbannführer'.
Anyhoo, I'm sure won't be too annoyed if addressed as Hair Maiyor as long its as accompanied by a click of the heels as you come to attention (if you weren't at attention anyway)

My FJ kit is Unteroffizier - equivalent to corporal or sergeant. (The Jerries had a lot of NCO ranks.)

The US have about 7 or 8 grades of Sergeant! It's rediculous! hehe

That's because they get promoted (and get a medal) for being able to talk and breath at the same time! Young inexperienced NCOs leading younger, inexperienced grunts - it'd never happen in the British Army!

The sad part is that it isn't just because of the war and 'field promotions', it still happens.
