PARTICIPATING UNITS - & DRESS REGS.

Postby PD » Thu Jul 02, 2009 3:31 pm

Re-enactors will be invited to take part as either German, British/Canadian or American troops.
These broadly fall into the following units:

US 75th Infantry Division (The Bulgebusters)(or 29 ID following more research)
Canadian TBD
British 3 Battalion Irish Guards

German Fallschirmjaeger (KG Walther)
272 Volksgrenadier
9 SS Panzer Division (PanzerGrenadieren)

DRESS REGULATIONS
For this event Dress Regulations will be enforced to the point of the ten foot rule. This is to encourage participation and to enable mroe people to take part without unnecessary expense. US Forces at the point in the War did not always wear Div Patches so a generic Leg Infantry impression without badges is much appreciated. British/Canadian Forces will be representative more than definitive. German FJ troops will need to adopt a late war ground infantry look and this extends to Heer and SS forces - We do not expect people to recufftitle for this. We do however expect people to dress as per the rules given and have all required equipment present. Making people look like a homogenous unit is the aim. If this is a success then we have access to lots more land and will moutn another event in a more tempreate climate!
Read on folks.

Right - that's our first stab at the dress regs for a mixed event. It's worked more or less in the past - So now you can look at what you have and see if it fits. We have included the weapons allocations and we hope that this also meets with approval - We have made some concessions immediately to make it easier for people to participate first time around. Please don't kick the arsche out of it - the CiA "Don't be a Cock" rule seems to fit the bill here..... (is that shortened to DBAC?) We have firm ideas of what we want to achieve.
