Ah the mess. :D

I would just like to say thank you properly to all those who played. You all did a fantastic job in uniforms, play and general temperament. It was an absolute pleasure.

Congratulations to the Polish players, who I observed working fantastically within their teams, and co-coordinating alongside others. And congratulations to the German players who, though finding themselves very low in numbers on the day, fought like tigers and I really cannot say well done enough.

pictures when my leg works enough to get my camera out. :P

Had a great time. Good to meet up with everyone again and to just play and have fun. I'm sunburnt, knackered and full of gorse spikes but it was all well worth it. A great effort by Craig and Dean, who kept things moving along with a minimum of fuss on a big site. Big thanks to Taffy for being Taffy and to Oddball for ferrying the Poles packs around in his jeep, without that, I think I would have carked it on the second hill! The Germans did indeed play a blinder, considering their numbers but I saw some excellent play and teamwork from my fellow Poles, who played with brains and aggression and remained "in character" throughout and acted like soldiers. With that said, I'm off to bed, because my middle aged body is telling me it's time to lie down! Photos and more comments to follow tomorrow :good:.

Well all that was my first real WW2 game outside sunny worthing (which our jimbo does marvelously of course). can't really add to the other comments on aches, pains and mucho enjoyment. many thanks to wraith for coming up trumps on giving me a lift - very much appreciated. Although i must reconsider my forlorn hope charges against him in future as when i got in at my folks they exclaimed 'What the "%^* have you done to your neck!' Seems like I've got a bruise the size of a fried egg! Well no sense - no feeling!

Be good to see any of you down for Operation Sealion later in the year.
I'm a hero with coward's legs.

Well I sorted the weather, I cooked a load to much stew, broke 1 egg yolk out of 29 served and showed a lot of you how to cook toast faster than a fast thing.
It was good to have you guys up and playing today but only sorry I couldn't be around much, I did a two day stint and even my eyelashes ache :)
Thank's to all for coming and using my site and to the young guys that ran today you did a blinding job, I hope this has given them ideas of whats next for them, well done lads  you can hold your heads up high as you have the Taffy seal of approval :)

Well, I've just got in for the second time today, first at home then now at camp, I ache but am still buzzing after today, many thanks to Dean, wladek and crew, also to Taffy, the poles as without you what would have been the point.

Sorry for the bruises fremsley but you ran at me without firing, hope your okay mate.

And a big thanks to the rest of the Germans, had fun and would fight alongside you any day.

"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

Apologies (especially to Craig and Dean) for not making it. More pictures please and descriptions of skirmishes and tasks. Let me know in great detail what I missed. Go on... rub it in!

Thanks to everyone for their effort ,enthusiasm and determination despite the knackering hills. I had a brilliant day because of it.

Nice to see those I know and to meet those I didn't - see you at the next game!

Yes, sorry I couldn't make this, but my priorities are elsewhere at the moment.

I was wondering though, which gods does Taffy pray to to get weather like that?! It's always beautiful when WW2 games are organised at Ex-Site.
