The helmet reminds me.

Lipton has an M42(?) Airborne uniform -Jacket + Trousers, and jump-boots that he will have no problem lending out. Pretty smallish, as he is pretty small.

He'll eventually get his arse in gear and tell you the sizes.

jacket's a 42 long and the trousers are 32, so not that small. but I'm happy to lend them to people. I also have a mussette bag, suspenders and a coouple of other bits and bobs.
Oh and the boots are size 9

Hi Steiner,
Actually Zeltbahn and tunic would complete the set wouldn't it.
And I'd feel happier borrowing the whole lot from a single source.
If that's OK with you.

Thanks again for letting me borrow all this gear.

(and thanks for the offer of a Zeltbahn from BedsnHerts too)

I really appreciate this group's generosity of spirit.

OK mate, no problem. I have worn a Zelt as a camo smock before, but it can feel a little cumbersome. I was thinking in terms of having the Zelt rolled up and on your belt. My advice would be to borrow a smock as well - and don't worry if the patterns don't match - any SS camo will do.

I've decided to go FJ so my SS kit is available to borrow. This includes:

M35 helmet (size 58) & blurred edge cover
M40 tunic (42)
M40 trousers (36)
Blurred edge smock
SS belt buckle, belt + Y-straps
Gaiters
MP40 or K98 (will hold Tanaka/vsr mags) pouches

May I borrow your smock then please?
From what Steiner says it'd be more practical than the zeltbahn.

I have a single button M43 cap that could be made SS if you wanted to - more like a 60cm though. Also an SS buckle.

Don't suppose somebody has an SS smock I could borrow for this one? I have German kit but not SS. 44" chest please. If I can borrow something suitable I'll get myself bokked in for this, what with me being 100% hooked now!
Thanks.
