you can grab them off ebay sometimes quite cheap. I have dealt with the northridge ebay shop quite a few times.

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Northridge-International-Inc/M1-GARAND-RIFLE-/_i.html?rt=nc&_fsub=216362015&_sid=3436185&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1581&_pgn=3

had a quick browse he has some very expensive ones atm, i suggest contacting them as they are usually very helpful.

Finally got round to adding the finishing touches to mine!

M1 Garand stock WW2 dates £45ish pounds
Kart M14 donor gun £80
Upgrades £220
All the hours of tinkering, fetling, swearing and getting it to fit. Priceless. :giggle:

just fixed the wiring on my cyma m14 with wood stock (i avoid saying real wood as its compleate pony)

so Deep breath time to use my shoot and scoot set .
only bit that worry me is cutting the original wood body to the right lenght. any suggestions?

or should i just hang it all and try to get a real m1 garand wood set (if so i guess its best to get from usa)

cheerho

and in we go

It's really hard to get the real wood garand set to fit an AEG.

The problem is the motor has to fit in the hand grip area and it's very thin on a real garand wood set. So thin you'll probably end up with not enough wood to keep the stock in one piece.

Far better is to shorten the M14 stock to fit... If you go too far you can always shorten the outer barrel a little bit!

I don't think I've ever shared this with everyone, it's not 100% finished but I'm pretty pleased with it so far.

M14 donor gun, M14 stock cut to size and gaps filled in and a few little upgrades. I've also converted it to single shot only.

Due to the recent hysteria around guns in the US, I decided to just go ahead and order two more M1s from the CMP... I'll make sure to post pics when they arrive!
