Webley MARK VI co2 revolver

Postby kiwi432 » Wed Oct 15, 2014 10:02 am

Some good news, it seems a C02 revolver is about to be released by ASGK.

A friend of mine who runs a airsoft shop in Taiwan has recently taken stock of these guns. He won't tell me any more information yet.

Heres a small video

That looks awesome, except I'm a little worried about the FPS. My experience from CO2 revolvers is that they shoot as hot as sniper rifles, we had to ban them from our games because people using them as sidearms, shooting from 10 feet away.

Most of these CO2 sidearms have a (recoil) spring somewhere in the design that controls the amount of force exerted on the pressure chamber - and thus the amount of gas released. Reducing the power of this spring drops the FPS accordingly, making them more legal - I've seen guys taking a 500+FPS Dan Wesson down to less than 350FPS after only 5 minutes of working.

Just use a PPS gas cartridge and your gas of choice. No need to run CO2 and, no need to mod hammer springs or shells either.

seems some confusion around this, can OP confirm its definately an airsoft gun? Only ask as Webley themselves are doing this gun as a 100yr fully licensed and marked anniversary special in CO2 form, but firing 4.5mm metal bb's at around 3 joules! They have confirmed they are not doing an airsoft version of it. The video does appear to show the box with 6mm on it however. Anyone throw any light on this?

Hello

I can confirm for sure that it is a 6mm gun and it is metal. ASGK have also released a few other ww2 co2 pistols at the same time. Like a C96 and I think there was a couple of others but I can't remember them atm.

Also it looks like the power can be reduced like the other revolvers but if it was green gas would just be so much easier.

will hopefully have some more details soon :D

Thanks for that, look forward to hearing more! My confusion arose as the box for the gun in the video you posted looks identical to the 4.5mm version Webley themselves are doing. Also ASGK don't make airsoft guns, they are a trade organisation afaik, hence why ASGK logo appears on many guns from different manufacturers, so would be interested to know who actually makes it?

Maybe I'm thinking too deeply but. . . . it will be interesting to see how this pans out as Webley have said they are not doing an airsoft version, and are very much a current company so legally it could get interesting if another company makes an unlicensed copy in which case we'll probably never see it in the UK. . . . unless they ARE doing a licensed version but were keeping it under wraps, in which case you heard it here first!

China wont care about that :giggle: , it will just come with out trades. Even if its not sold in the UK it can easily be imported.
