Mine had feed issues. I have resolved these now.

BBs would get pulled into the cylinder and then get crushed. A real PITA as this would then mean the gun needed to be stripped down and cleaned.

I first thought it was to do with a spring in the hop but it was the shape of the bar that pushes down on the BBs in the mag. This was flat, with one side tapered to allow the nozzle to lift it when the bolt was pushed fwd. I reshaped the flat part to guide the BBs into the hop. This seems to have done the trick.

Thanks for the update guys. So can these take AEG or VSR springs? Can the hop rubber be changed for an after market? Etc? Can these take a tight bore barrel. There is one retailer which states that there ST M1903A3 fire at 350fps. What I might do is order one, ask them to check velocity, and to make sure it is 350fps before shipping to me...As I want it firing 350fps if is under then upgrade or over downgrade!

Last time I played with my GG M1903A4. I took a couple of hours to get it working the way I wanted, which took up my morning. In the afternoon I got five confirmed hits! Including one heart and one neck! Its a good feeling when you take out people with AEGs with one shot from a boltie!

I managed to fit a AEG Madbull TB barrel in my S&T Springfield but had to ask a friend to CNC new "stabilizing" grooves on the sides of the barrel to make it fit inside the hopup chamber. Looking at the hopup bucking it looks a bit strange
as it's alot "fatter" at the front where the BB's feed in. Anyone know what type of bucking the Springfield takes? I can't see a standard AEG bucking fit without some fiddling around with it first.

Just watched the YouTube video, running at 544.9 fps, over legal power for UK laws, and just a smidgen over most site limits!

Hi.

May I ask whats the fps limit by UK law?

From what I heard they will also sell ready made rifle.

You can also ask them to install softer spring before they ship. I think i wouldnt be problem. :)

If you have any further question please feel free contact them directly. I think they will be very happy to answer your question.

U.K. Laws, on single shot air soft weapons equates to 519fps, I'm sure ther are many over that limit, but it's not supposed to sold by retailers over that limit. For airsoft weapons that have automatic facility are down to 375fps!

So after almost two years I thought I'd share my input on what I've learned about this S&T Springfield.
My first thought was just upgrading spring to bring up FPS to a more skirmish-able range. Being VSR-10 base I used vsr springs and found it to be longer then stock spring however it will still compress into the cylinder and does work for a while. Next issue I tried to do was change internal piston and spring guides as they are plastic.

For prototyping I brought an angel custom VSR-10 piston and spring guide. then come to find out although the gun structure is like a tokyo marui vsr10 the diameter of the bolt on the m1903 springfield is smaller and thus the piston won't fit. Taking the piston to a machine shop I was able to turn down the diameter of the piston and spring guide to make it fit into the stock aluminium cylinder.

After getting the gun put back together I was able to cock the bolt back lock it. But like someone on another forum found out, when trigger is pulled the piston does NOT clear the sear and does not fire. It was then that I found the piston length on the vsr10 was actually a little bit longer then the plastic piston on the m1903. I've tried cutting a longer slot opening onto the stock cylinder in hopes to get the sear to clear the piston but to no avail. I have also tried to file down the primary sear and did manage to get the gun to fire but that only lasted for 20 shots before sear was worn and no longer able to hold piston in place. I did however was able to replace sear with tm vsr-10 primary sear. I found that the primary sear for vsr10 is compatible but not the secondary. The secondary sear does not work as the length of the whole trigger assembly for the tm vsr10 is longer then the 1903.

I also ran into another issue where the cylinder are made of very thin aluminum and the dowel pin that holds the aluminum cylinder to the bolt oblong the hole and eventually made the bolt loose. This is where the problem of bolt not disengage the safety. Even when flag safety is on fire you would have to rest your thumb on the rear of the bolt to get the safety to just clear the trigger in order to shoot.

It was at this point that I had given up and moved onto a Tokyo Marui VSR-10 pro. until TNT came out with their plug and play parts for the S&T. Now my review on the parts.
I've brought every single part available from them and found that the inner barrel is the same as VSR10 and the unknown bucking is able to handle .40g bb granted bucking adjustment must be set at max.

The steel cylinder that TNT use has a thicker wall then the stock aluminum and is NOT polish but has a matte-black finish. This does make the bolt not feel as smooth when being cocked compared to stock. Another then I found is that the lever for the magazine cut off or in this case the bolt lock will not be functional with this cylinder. It lacks the proper groove that lever can sit into to hold the bolt in place.
The piston and spring guide is stainless steel with a spring bearing on the spring guide.
Spring that came with the cylinder measure 467-465fps on my chrono with .20 bb. However, an airsoft store had measure it to be shooting at 480-490 fps. I have not tested it in recent years.

Issues I'd like to address after having this setup for 1 year.
Unlike the tm hop up that clicks the slider adjustment is completely smooth and over time I found that it has lost the ability to retain the adjustment after one or two shots. A fix that I did was drill an access hole to the 3mm screw that holds the slider in place. Put a washer there and use that guide screw as a way of locking the slider in place. Then just store the small screw driver on the butt stock storage.

Another issue I've come across is the way the safety mechanism is design does not work very well when the gun has aged. After extensive use the chamber for the bolt has worn allowing there to be a small play in the back of the bolt that house the flag safety and mechanism. I ended up removing the trigger lock in the trigger itself and as I found that the trigger safety gets jammed easily.

As of right now my M1903A3 S&T Springfield has the following done to it and is modded to replicate a M1903A4 sniper:
-TNT hop up bucking
-TNT inner barrel 6.03mm
-TNT Steel Cylinder
-TNT Metal Piston and spring guide
-TNT Spring Advertise as 500fps
-TNT primary and secondary sear upgrade
-Hi-lux M73G4 (which is a replica scope of the weaver M73B4 that is intended for use on a real steel. Weaver 330c scope is the civilian version of the M73B4. This was also my most expensive upgrade but has an moa range of 60 rather then 30 on the original 330c scope.
-Leather reproduction sling
-Rear sling loop has been replaced with one from a real m1903 (I found it bolts right up to S&T stock so no need to trim leather sling)

All and all I am very happy with how my 1903A4 turned out. I found that the accuracy with .40 bb is about the same as a stock tokyo marui VSR-10 pro after the TNT upgrade.
Sorry for the very long post but I hope this helps everyone that has been looking for a ww2 spring rifle to use as a skirmish-able platform.
