Operation ‘Redcap’
May 2 1945
North Pole Science and Exploration Ice Station 1 – Redcap.
£35 prebook

Its 1945 and the war in Europe is all but over. The Germans are on their knees, Hitler is dead and the power of Germany is now in the hands of Admiral Karl Donitz. Behind the lines Nazi’s scramble to the 4 corners of the earth trying to hide from the Vengeance of the Red Army or the courts of the western alliance.

Far from the turmoil of Europe lies Ice Station 2 or ‘Redcap Station’.
In 1937 Ice Stations Redcap, Zeus and Sun flare were established by a coalition of German and Norwegian scientists. The tri stations objectives were to find alternative means of natural energy. This included deep bores through the Earths crust, Solar energy and trying to harness lightning. In 1940 with the invasion of Norway, the Norwegian scientists were arrested and all their work seized by the new NAZI commander in control of the stations. All were sent back to Berlin for questioning and not heard of again.

It’s not known what success the stations made, for in 1941 on the eve of Barbarossa, contact to the stations was severed and for the time being the stations were assumed to be operating on their own. It’s also rumoured that most of the science team returned to Germany via U-boat and the stations were shut down but no records of this are available….However!

April 28th 1945 a German transmission is picked up across open channels originating from the Arctic asking for help. The message includes co-ordinates to the ‘Redcap’ Ice Station, the mention of success with Experiment 70334 but also the failing of the Apport enhancer. The rumours of the Ice Stations continued work during the war is now confirmed and the race is one to control it and its secrets. If a new source of energy has been found and harvested, control of this energy is vital.

It’s May 1st 1945 and a U-boat has arrived at the old military docking station a days hike from Ice Station ‘Redcap’ On board is an SS U-Boat commander and his marines, their only goal is to retrieve all the material and use it as a bargaining chip.

To the West a small American unit has arrived via trucks a day’s hike from Ice Station ‘Redcap’. This new power added to the already successful nuclear tests could put them ahead as the 1st global power.

From the Skies to the East, a day’s hike from Ice Station ‘Redcap’ a unit of British paratroopers have landed, the British Government still reeling for the continued cost of the war sees this as a golden fleece of opportunity and must be a pert of whatever has been found.

At Ice Station ‘Redcap’ a unit of Russian soldiers tasked with re-establishing the old science labs prepares it for a new science team to arrive. Unknown to them 4 worlds are about to collide.

Scenario to follow.
