Top weekend once more! Huge thanks to all the cia crew who painstakingly put this together! Most excellent. Mention to headshot for his fantastic portrail of hauptman hess! I will forever be on my gaurd of germans grabbing my tool handle! to Pete and Stu for some great adventures through the valleys! There were a few chin strapped tommies I can tell u! I hold no resentment towards Pete for putting me on the wire duty on to have me pull it all in again! My feet are blistered, arms raked by brambles, finger tingling from the shock I took from the phone terminals and my back aches from carrying the HG (joke!)! Great weekend all round! Looking forward to seeing the film! Beds'n'herts... Next one we'll have a few mate! Can't wait for the next one (I think! Scouting!?hmmm)! :D

 Sorry about that! Just as you got it all untangled and lugged the kit down to the checkpoints, I received reports of a German aircrash and was given new orders. Look on it as a learning curve! :giggle:

Great fun and really good to meet some new people. Game worked really well in recreating being hot, thirsty, knackered and dreading having to climb yet another hill or cross another river :)

Many thanks to Guy for his inspired leadership, as we ended up dong the right thing even though we were doing the wrong thing, sort of...

It was such fun blowing up the British camp and rescuing Hess, although he proved to be a bit of slippery customer.

Cheers
Martin

Well, my hamstrings are still hurting and Kermit's "curse of the motorways" afflicted me yet again on the way back (how can i drive the same motorway in less than 36 hrs and get caught by the road being closed twice?!?!) but I have to say that I enjoyed it. Kudos to the Germans for working fantastically well in their sections (and putting up with the hills and multiple crossings of that damn stream and god knows how many barbed wire fences!). Top moment of the day for me was getting stuck on the wrong side of a hedgerow along with Hänschen klein, and then wasting Pete's section as they attempted to grenade us out of our positions. Short, nasty skirmishes - just as I like it!

Thanks to all that took part!

As mentioned by most, thanks once again to the CIA organisers for an enjoyable weekend. Special thanks go to John for allowing me to hitch a ride, Gary for the entertainment and the Nottinghamshire lads for a right good giggle, thanks, Tony.

Thank you to one and all and in particular the organisers of such a cracking event. My first experience of Airsoft and I thoroughly enjoyed it, even the electric shocks, ankle deep mud, himalayan ascents, barbed wire and duplicitous hun - underhand attacks from the car park and Herr Hess breaking his parole in a most ungentlemanly fashion which was fully deserving of life in Spandau.

Until the next one.

Charlie

Thanks again to CiA for another great event. The terrain was punishing, the fences a nightmare and I fired the fewest shots at any airsoft game I've been to, including Jedburgh, but I loved every minute. The game 'plan' worked brilliantly and flowed unpredictably all day thanks to everyone staying in character and trying to achieve their objectives regardless of being knackered or cut off. :good: The 'site' was really quite different to anything I've played on before and I'd happily go back there again, once I've recovered.

My highlight has to be the whole escapade with Carl & Guy: sneaking up to the Brit camp and lying in wait behind the hedge (whilst Guy ate lunch!) before creating havoc to flush out Hess. Then capturing Scott and using his uniform to approach the camp only to find it deserted except for the HG captain who was duly captured and taken for interigation. Unfortunately he was shot, repeatedly, when attempting to escape.

The Deputy Fuhrer however, had given his British captors some evidence of Germany's planned invasion of Russia , and so is now awaiting his fate in Spandau Prison .

Having recovered from multiple accidental gunshot wounds and slipping down the ladder to the U-boat several times?

Totally enjoyed this game. Thanks again to the organisers , top job as usual chaps.
I liked the way everyone stayed in character , Head shot in particular did a great job of being a slippery scheming german ( taking the shot gun and shooting a guard was really funny).
The ruse we pulled was also funny, would have loved to have seen the look on Gerries face when they realised what we did.
Managed to get plenty of scouting practice in with Pvt. Johnny which was cool too, well played Johnny.

probably shot 1 german all day but that never bothers me too much as it was more fun dodging them (or trying too...seems like they were everywhere!)

Great site, loved the hills and scenery...except the big tree in the middle of the camp site ...freaky.

Thanks to the site owners , seemed like nice people.

Sorry i didnt go to any of the socials....not that i didnt want too , but i have been doing a lot of training for games like these and the up coming ones as after jedburgh i didnt feel fit enough...largely because of drinking shit loads of beer the night before.....so i promised myself i wouldnt do it this time round or atleast try to cut back. I know i would have caved in and got wasted so i went to bed at 9pm on both friday and saturday and suprise suprise ...i felt fine all weekend and today i have no aches, no pains, just a few minor cuts and thorns in my fingers.

Looking forward to the next one.

Cheers all , great weekend

Another cracking CiA game :good: :happyclap:

Big thanks to all the organising team and to all the players who help make these events so great. Got completely knackered, only fired about a dozen rounds in anger but had a throughly great time regardless.

Some great camaraderie among my fellow FJ's and , apart from getting seperated from our commanders, we all stuck together, looked out for each other, and kept on with out intended mission to track down Hess, which, more but luck than planning we finally did.

Quite agree. Another CIA classic. Fired less than one MP40 all day, but thoroughly enjoyed it. So far every game I have played in Wales has had sunshine, although we would have set the land speed record for a descent down those slopes if it had been really slippy. Well done to all the new guys along, they looked the part and played well. The HG were particular amusing with their silly excercises.

Just to make you feel a bit better you were not the only German to get shot, there were a few, especially at the attack on the Barn, and I myself took a face shot when we fubar'd the Home Guard/Regulars at the final skirmish before end of play.

I got slotted as well, by a well aimed shot from Stof.

"I believe I was the only German to get shot the whole day."

Our FJ group was also fairly comprehensively mullered while trying to fight across the road on the far left flank, Boshman got one in the face, I was shot in the chest and pink panzer & I were blown apart by several grenades. Marsha survived however and we got patched up and proceeded on our way once the Home Guard had fled. We got a few of them as well :)

I had a look at the map afterwards and realised it had taken us the best part of three hours to move a mile to our 'cut off' position in the top woods. We only met one lonely SS man when we finally got there.

Cheers
Martin

Did Toska mean he was the only German to be shot, not the only "German"?
