Senario added for Border Clash.

21st June 1941 - The eve of Battle

Only a mile across the boarder of Poland and Russia the troops of Field Marshall Fedor Von Bocks Army group centre are a coiled spring ready and prepared for their launch into Russia and glory. Our story takes us to one small part of the battle but one that could have devastating consequences on the Germans Blitzkrieg.

A Heavily wooded supply route outside of Brest plays host to a large Russian border company lead by Major Rufl Choloski. This route has a direct link from Berlin to Moscow and passes through the centre of the Germans first key city, Minsk.
The road is wide enough for heavy armour and supply trucks to travel down and although two rivers meet along its path, the Germans are lucky enough to have the Bridges their side of Poland.

In the Mothers arms.
On the Russian side of the border, rumours have been passed around the Red Armies camps that the Germans may by up to no good, but no orders to prepare have been given. This doesn’t mean company officers aren’t watching the busy movement of troops, but no threat is felt… however Choloski has given orders for his men to be no more than 10 paces from their weapons, even on chow and on the 20th June, Russian sappers laid mines and tank traps in gesture.

Its 10’oclock on the 21st of June 1941 and this World War is about to take yet another fateful turn. Could this be the end to the threat of the Red Mist or the unravelling of Germany’s greatest Army?

Briefing at 9.30am. Russians take the field at 10am, Germans at 10.30. Those arriving on Saturday, make an effort to be on site for 8am. If you’re not ready, you’ll have to wait!

Scenario
The Russians will start in fixed positions along the border, camps will be set up and fires will be burning for Tea. (If you have Cast Iron pots let me know and bring them along). The Germans will then have a number of Tasks to complete before they are ready for the push. There will be reconnaissance along the border and banter will be encouraged, even the exchange of tobacco for pipes.
Once all their tasks are complete, without warning the assault will begin. If the Germans however blunder any of their tasks and give their game away, the Russians will no sit idle!!! A certain amount of role play will be needed for this scene setting encounter, if your uncomfortable with role play its not a problem, there are plenty that are;)

Both sides will have an untouchable HQ that command will be working from, this doesn’t mean command wont take a look in the field however.
HQs also represent a permanent place for new re-enforcements to push out from.

There will also be a number of CPs dotted all over the site, all of these will have key relevance to the battle and strategic value.

On top of all of these, both sides will have tasks to complete, however don’t feel pressured by to many objectives, this isn’t a major battle and we don’t have 100 peeps, so they will be limited and paced.

At the end of Day 1 which will be around 4pm-4.30pm depending on light, we will all retire to the camp for a right royal pissup and shenanigans :good: then Sundays kick off at 10am for more of the good stuff, will take us to end-ex no later than 1pm as we all have long drives home and pack down.

I would just like to add a huge thank you in advance for the support of this battle and may the best Russman win…see what I did there  .
