I thought the goodies in the ammo box thing was a fantasic idea, even the boobytrapped one! Was funny when Headshot comes blazing into the hospital through heaps of german fire to pass me a can of cloudy lemonade! Happy days! :)

This may seem a bit belated but we're just back from our week in Derbyshire.

Excellent day - thanks to the organisers and everyone concerned.

Best bits -

1. "Landing", securing the perimeter and moving off in our squads.
2. Attacking the ridge with Gadge shouting orders.
3. Four or five of us outflanking loads of germans through a hole in the station wall, opening up with the bren (didn't actually get any of them but just watching them leg it was straight out of BoB).
4. Getting grenaded by Steiner? who was bloomin' lucky the fuse burnt down in time to save him.
5. Anne getting five odd germans from a little bush near the church.

Neither of us noticed any cheat calling or anything like that all day.

Generally the game is way better when working in squads with loudmouthed leadership, so Gadge and Headshot, KEEP IT UP!

Looking forward to Wales (actually dreading it to be honest because neither of us could move the next day, no going home at 5:00pm next time.....)

Cheers for that
I alsways feel a bit guilty about shouting orders as im fully aware that peopel have paid good money to have a game and if they wantewd to be shouted at they could be *paid* good money and join the TA :)

In allseriousness, i think it does help keep the game moving but im always wary that i might be too gobby, i'm glad that wasnt the case.

You know, I'd totally forgotten about that incident until you reminded me! The funny thing was, I'd chucked it intending it to go through the doorway, but missed. Then Barrie and his Bren came out of the doorway and had us bang to rights - until the grenade exploded right by his feet!

Shouting orders is a must. It adds to the atmosphere on the day and it's not like anyone's getting court-martialled for not doing what you say. I'd probably pay extra for some quality Sergeant Major type ranting.
