Why are wood kits for M1A1 Thompson's not available ?

Postby Peter Graham » Sun Jun 29, 2014 9:49 pm

Why does no one make wood kits for Thompson's any more ? Every time I search for one they are either sold out or not available any more. Surely with the popularity of the gun someone must be making them. On that note, if anyone has one for sale I'd love to hear from you.

Likewise, I'm trying to get my grubby little mitts on a wood kit for my KA M1A1. KA have told me that they're changing their supplier and should have some in the future.

If anyone does have a set going, that fits the KA version, please do get in touch.

I think the reason is that most people want the original style woodwork if they are converting rather than the m1a1 .

Keep looking,HK suppliers are your best bet.Got mine from WGC,Ehobby have them in from time to time as well.
As an aside Epics M1A1 wooden foregrip fits the KA perfectly,so you could go for the M1928 kit if thats all you can find.

I know this is a couple months old but if you have a drill and a hacksaw then it's really easy to convert the stock of the original furniture, and you don't need to touch the fore-grip !

I got mine from here, cheap and great service
