What is all this waffle about rifles?

I will attempt to answer to the question of why we have such a odd, and some would say convoluted, set of rules and requests for rifles.

In the 'culture of airsoft' the bolt action rifle and it's use is, as a norm, referred to as sniping and being a sniper.

We think this is inaccurate, and would like to move our collective thought towards thinking of 'riflemen', not snipers.

However we also have a big site that would be cool with loads of people, so what do we do?

Our answer was to try and provide as much options for people to get there as possible. So most weapons have a role in our scenario - though some are limited in number. There will also be stringent ammo allowances - as these are good, and right, and proper.

So, our hope is that those using lower powered bolt actions will find that

1. The limitations on fps will mean they are not too outclassed in range and accuracy by other rifles, except when encountering designated snipers.
2. The Ammo limits will make smgs and assault rifles effective for only short periods of time.
3. without the need of a minimum engagement range they can close effectively for closer range bayonety fun
4. the limits on the number of MGs will allow for fire and manoeuvre on both sides.
