Let us know on the Friday night co ordination when you can as I may travel then.

I will put 20 lt water jerry can in the Land Rover so it will be available on site during the day.

Thanks Ramsey.

We just need to liaise with the site co-ordinator regarding opening times, but feel free to stay on the Friday night - always good to have a chat and get to know new people.

Do you know if we can have open fires on site? I have broken up 2 pallets at the weekend so now have a quantity of firewood.

Steiner can confirm but i would say that its Not really the sort of place for fires.

The buildings where we stay are surrounded by hard standing ( the car park). The woodland/ fields are a fair way off . Socials are normally held in a large room that is on the second floor of a large building ( which has the rooms that we sleep in)
RETIRED, thanks for some truly memorable times and great people

Yeah, I don't think fires would be a good idea. We have a big 2-storey building to sleep / mingle in, so I don't think the cold will be an issue (unlike at Sevastopol!).

Hi, excuse the delay on these details - we're still trying to get the info from the UCAP guys.

However, I can't imagine it will be much different from Sevastopol, where people were arriving from late afternoon Friday onwards.

will the gate be closed and locked later on?

It will probably be pretty late on Friday that me and Dean arrive.

Right, looks like 3 of us coming by public transport, train to Greenhithe then cab to site. if current plans come to pass we should be there Friday night about 8:30 ish.

Any problems with the site owners regards a disposable BBQ for Friday night cooking? (other than the usual "NOT INSIDE" rule). Please say now so I can make alternative plans.

Will also be bringing a small meths stove for the morning cuppas/instant porridge.

Oh and when is the planned Game end on Saturday (I am assuming 5 or 6-ish)

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

Disposable BBQ and stove are both absolutely fine mate, outside obviously. :good:

We expect endex to be about 6ish.

Thanks for that.
That means Fridays dinner will be easily sorted, filling and not pot noodles. :good:

Some of the UCAP guys will be onsite doing stuff on Friday, and it should be ok for people to turn up from 1pm onwards. If the gate is locked, there should be a number posted on it.
