Great event - I really enjoyed it. Many thanks to the organisers.

This is some site - loads of variation of terrain, tracks, roads, buildings - it's got the lot - and large too. Anyone who's considering attending Hut 9, take it from me, it'll be a corker. :good:

Yes Ill second that Andy :good:

Big thanks to Sgt Heide, Chommers & Headshot for a well run and very enjoyable weekend.

Picked up many useful tips from Sgt Heide & Headshot, was very impressed how Pete tuned his military knowledge to an airsoft enviroment.

To echo Andy the site is excellant Hut 9 is a must :D

Thanks chaps. We had another look around the site after you all left and found even more buildings and terrain that we can incorporate into Hut 9. Just imagine all those trees with foliage on!

Great event, really enjoyed it and learned a lot. I especially enjoyed crawling around in the pitch dark! My maths may be off but I reckon we got 13.5 hours of activity into a 24 hour period, but unlike a normal game the only aches and pains I have to show for it are a stiff back and a blister on one heel.

I also got to use the Bren in anger for the first time and my soviet combat wooden spoon, which stayed firmly in my boot and didn't fall out :)

Huge site with very interesting terrain including plenty of dips to hide in and buildings popping up in unexpected places.

Thanks to the CiA team for organising it and looking forward to a return trip for Hut 9.

Cheers
Martin

Surely a qualification badge would be more appropriate, different ones depending on your chosen nation, perhaps. Unfortunately I won't get one... :-(

Many many thanks to CIA: Pete, Steve and Dave.

A great event, informative and fun.

So sorry not to have made it back, curses to double-booking, but despite that I very nearly did. However, even though I managed an hour's sleep in the bath, had all my kit packed in the car, including the added Denison, and the ETA on the sat-nav suggested a not unreasonable 8.15am once I emerged into the daylight, a bout of cramp and thoughts of the work I have to have done by tomorrow just as I had to make the decision whether to continue on the M1 or head home meant that middle-aged sensibleness finally took over.

I think the fact that a return was so seriously considered speaks volumes of how much I enjoyed this event.

Roll on Hut 9.

Cheers
Charlie

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.

Headshot shows off his chopper. Charlie glances nervously to judge the rest of the group's reaction. The rest of the group avoid looking at IT. But Tim seems impressed while Lardy bites his lip to stifle a snigger.

A big thankyou to all who attended and got stuck in 100%. We asked a lot of you in a short space of time and I have to say, that you all did very well the subjects covered, with no moaning and with lots of enthusiasm. You may not have noticed it but, I certainly did, that you were applying the things that you had learned as things went on. By the time you did the patrol lane in pairs, the improvement was massive compared to the previous attempts, so something had obviously sunk in! The night exercise was also very good to behold, as you all switched on and learned from your mistakes and, there were also some outstanding performances on concealment and ambushes. As stated, you got more hours in the field than at most events and have learned things that should stand you in good stead at any WW2 airsoft event, not just CiA ones. The trick now is to try to practice and hone what you've learned, as repetition will turn those skills into natural habits, which you will carry out without having to think about it.

Glad you all agree on how great the site is, it has fantastic history and, it really does have something for everyone where you find something new every time you go there and, it's flat! It really does suit Hut 9 perfectly and I am looking forward to that even more now, especially since the foliage will be up come June. Thanks again folks. :good:
