Unequivocally yes, damn paperwork needs sorting by someone! Shorthand to 80 wpm preferred. Typing with not less than two fingers essential. Rubber stamping deftness absolute necessity.

Would the organisers be prepared in assisting me, with spiking my other half with 72 hrs worth of the stuff they gave Mr T to get him on a plane?

Sadly, it's the only way in Hell I'd be able to attend, particularly seeing as I'm tentatively scribbling myself in for Avellino. I think one game a month is about the limit according to senior management.

Wish you all the best with it, really interesting idea. I'm sure it'll be a good one. :good:

That depends on what you consider to be 'in a month' - I'd work on the principal of add the number of games you attend over a year then divide by 12. If the answer is more than one then she has a fair point. In any case, it makes sense to get as many fine weather games in as you can and do the house decorating in the winter months (or whatever it is that enforces domestic imprisonment).

I personally work on the principle that if I am a complete liability and nuisance in the house then wifelet is only too pleased to get shot of me for a weekend. Or three.

Yeah, but I'm the very model of a modern manly man, hence the reason parting is so hard to bear.

It generally averages out at one weekend a month... for Airsoft. Tack on football, wargaming and more and it adds up. Domestic incarceration isn't a burden I've ever had to endure, but I'm also wary of not taking the piss in the best interests of maintaining a balance of domestic bliss. :)

Ditch the wargaming - she would think so much more of you. And bonus of more time for Airsoft. My logic is flawless.

Nonsense, I war game purely for the chicks. It's a veritable pussy magnet. In fact, I recall I wooed her with tales of cupping my D6 firmly in my hands as I surveyed the battlefield with a steely gaze.

That and my toy soldiers are my only real friends. Though even they're prone to moments of doubt.

Hells teeth you are right, worked like a charm. She fell asleep directly, relieving me of the chore of marital obligations. Domestic bliss indeed - thank you, I see the light!

All in a days service, sir. All in days service. :)

To be fair, she may have passed out in shock at the price as opposed to fallen asleep. I admit I've had more enjoyment from airsoft, than I've ever got from GW, even the risk of getting machine gunned in the face at point blank range is better than forking out £80 for a glorified Airfix kit.

I apologise, as i'm dragging this thread bat shit crazily off topic. Suffice to say though, this looks a great idea for a game. I wish you all the best with it. Considering in an hour I'll have thirty kids sat infront of me, being hunted through the woods by Home Guard seems like a vacation. :good:

Glad to see this game back on again, but sadly I wont be able to come as I'm away. The curse of summer games, particularly July/August when I'm often either away at weekends or working.

Hope it goes well.

Cheers

I can only echo this.

I'm not sure I can take any more bad news this week. Hut 9 back on but on the one weekend I definitely can't make in July/August and this coming so closely after my Messina disappointment. What's the third one going to be - that AGS are putting on Chariot at the one weekend I have away (other than Copenhagen) between September and December? Oh Woe!

Hope it goes well.

Cheers

All these other things, surely they aren't that important. If there is one game to go to this year this is probbaly it. It wil be a shame to not have you all there.
