Sod it, everything else will just have to wait - I deserve a day off. Will travel down Saturday morning and stop overnight but will have to head home as soon as I get up. Sorry to miss the Sunday fun.

I'd better get some kit sorted. German side!

Yes, we might even have enough Germans to form two sections!

Starting to get excited now, just a few more hours of work to endure. Dying under a sea of appraisals but have come to terms with the idea that my new gun really isn't going to arrive in time for tomorrow.

Call it an 8.

I must remember to make my sandwiches tonight. Ranj christened me 'Nosher' at Crete, which has an amusing ring of truth to it.

Righto, back to the bumph.
