Guys a big thanks to you all, a lot of effort made by both sides before during and after the game. Will be putting up a conclusions thread to let everyone know the outcome after I have had chance to wind down and am able to process the information.

My big thanks to Kieran, Lardy, Martin and Tim. Well done. Loved all the props artillery pieces, ammunition boxes, HQ, MG tripod etc. Tough day in this "mountain" terrain. Russian put up a great fight and the assault on our position was outstanding. I thought we were dug in quite well. ... but they picked the right moment. Thanks again and look forward to the next one.

PS: The Soldbuch is excellent work unfortunately it did not get much attention in the game.

Had a fantastic day, thank you to all those that had a part in preparing and running the day. First time in Russian kit and I really enjoyed the basic load out aspect. Hope to do some more of the same soon!

Big thanks to kie, lardy, Martin and tim and to anyone else who helped out :D
Liked the low ammo rule it really made you think, it also made us think of our support gunner. The patrolling and digging the mines in was also great fun and even though we had no contact it was quite intense.

Favourite moment of the day was holding the mine fields on the cross roads with only a few rounds left I was quite relieved to have been kia'd :good:

Going to invest in a Russian load out

I think An idea was mentioned on here a while back about starting a Russian Group; nothing all that organised or structured, just a player pool basically where we could come together like Alte Hasen do before games. Might be worth considering.

Huge thank you to everyone supported the event, not just those that attended but those that tried but due to circumstances were unable :good:

Not everything went smooth or to plan but hopefully all enjoyed themselves.

Big thanks to Stut and his lads, the Pak looked awesome :good: Cant wait to see your next project

Thanks to Josh for loan kit etc :good:

Also Big thanks to Martin and Chris and the rest of the 34th. We appreciated your help with the pyro etc. There seems to be a real WW2 community spirit developing in the Midlands

Thanks to Russell for the first aid post, looked awesome :D

Thanks to everyone who came and played and helped shift the mountain of gear up and down the hill. Apologies for the confusion about objectives in the afternoon, I think we sort of got away with it  but some lessons learned for next time.

As always it is the players who make the game, and everyone made a great effort on sticking together on your groups, focussing on the objectives and on the kit front. Great stuff. Hats off to the Russians for both their brilliant assault on the gun positions in the morning and their tenacious defence of the last strongpoint in the afternoon, I really thought we were stuffed at one point, but effective German teamwork finally saw us through.

I did take a few pictures which I'll sort out over the next few days.

Oops yes I forgot about that, without the kind help of so many I would still have been onsite at midnight lugging gear :slap:

Good to see so many rifles, I think about 2/3rds of the Germans had either bolt action or semi auto rifles. In fact the Gebirgs had all bolt action and were totally dependant on the MG for fire support as it should be.

Another great game from the 900 days team :good:, thanks to Tim, Kieran, Martin and Rich for all their hard work, I loved all the detail, the Soldbuchs and boxes for ammo must have taken you ages to put together. The site was quite tough both on body and kit, but I thought suited the scenario very well. The game was a good mix of "role play" and defence and attack, and the level of play was the usual honest high level of play you expect from WW2 airsoft. Also thanks to the small but perfectly formed Gebirg squad, Lutz, Matt, Martin and Chris, what we lacked in size we made up for in skill and determination .

Hi guys,

There is always an element of risk when putting on events, especially when its only your second. Both myself and Lardy had a lot of feedback from our first event both positive and constructive criticism that we had to work on. The addition of Tim and Martin to the organisers side of things has been a massive help and the enthusiasm that they brought with them was priceless.

My second thanks goes to all the players, although many of you may have been unsure about certain aspects of the game rules you all ran with it and I hope now looking back you can understand what we were trying to achieve. The level of game play was top notch and that always a big bonus as that can really detract from an event so well done for that. Thanks to Stut and his guys for the awesomeness of the pak (I could see a lot if the players salivating over it and a number of cogs whirring round :giggle: To Chris and Martin for the support.

Was I know a bit of a headache with access along the road but then again it did give rise to a very heart warming scene of everybody interacting and swapping tall stories at the end of an event so that was cool, and good on everyone for the no man left behind getting off site.

Although I am still a bit broken the mind and plans are already being cultivated. Please see the conclusions topic to see after this event how are story lies and keep your eyes peeled for the next instalment of the 900 days....oh and tell your friends :good: .....

Awesome day guys and thank you from my gang in the 24th. Is there going to be another one at the same site? we will be there for part two. The Ivans gave us a pasting at dinner time, Feldwebel Dave made a crap job of wiring the booby traps and they failed to blow with most of the Russian squad in the blast area...... He will be dealt with ....... harshly. We fought back in the afternoon... The organisers put on a great day and I think the site has a lot of potential with some demanding terrain. Thanks to all of the players on both sides and especially the organisers. we will be bringing more stuff too.....
