Game Update

Postby HeadShot » Sun Jul 13, 2014 4:06 pm

Hi all

We did our final site recce today and walked through our plans for the game. Just to put the site size into perspective, we have decided to focus the game around about 2/3rds of the site's full size and we walked the route we hope to drive the game in. My phone's fitness tracker informed us that we'd walked 6.5km by the end of the recce. :D

The site has also become very overgrown since some of you were there in March 2013. It's tough going through the wood, so sturdy boots and thick trousers are a must I think. There are lots of brambles and stinging nettles which may make thinner trousers a poor choice.

Now that we've finalised our plans, we're pretty excited about how this game will pan out. We'll be sticking to the usual CiA idea of running a rolling non-stop scenario, but we'll build in points where people will be able to take a few minutes to get some grub and adjust kit and have a rest. With this in mind, it's IMPERATIVE that people make sure they bring enough food and water to last them the whole day, and are able to carry it with them. We won't be fighting from fixed bases, so you'll need to be able to take any opportunity you can to keep hydrated and fed. CIA WON'T PROVIDE WATER FOR YOU, YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN.

We'll open up a few more threads to talk about specifics, so please keep a close eye on the forum.
